As a busy DM this is exactly the kind of resource that I need. I have a setting and an on-going campaign, I don't need a whole plotline, but detailed locations and the denizens that live there saves me a ton of time. Thanks for this, please make more!

This product is outstanding. It is professionally laid out with many great pictures and play aids. I am well pleased and will be using it in my campaign.

--== What I Liked ==-- The hooks and cave content descriptions are the best part of the product. They are pretty imaginative and can be adapted to fit most campaign worlds very easy. For my post apocalyptic fantasy game it fits almost perfectly.

The maps are very artistic and have a sort of rustic flair. Speaking of the maps...

--== What I Do NOT Like ==-- By far the biggest issue with the product are the maps. There are really two big issues.

The map complex map is presented at the end of the module. It is split on 4 pages in an uneven fashion, there is no scale, it is not clear, and rooms are not marked at all. It is literally a process of examining the room maps and text to try and figure out where they belong on the main complex map. Since the map is not clear it is not easy. In fact this map is so unclear that I am contemplating having to remake it for my game.

The room sized maps look neat but there is no scale or delineation of the various objects at all. "How big is this cave?" "Where is the slit that has the basilisk?"

My only other complaints are not as serious. I would have like to see more detail on the chief and shaman. More information on their preferred method of attack and their personalities would have be good. I also wanted to see a bit more content. Maybe a few more unique rooms??? There are not that many unique areas to the caves.

--== Summary ==-- Fine if you need some added content for your game. The price point of $8 is right on the money...it is not worth much more.

One thing forge studios is good at is artwork. There are some great, unusual drawings in this product. It's not a module, though, and it's not really even a setting. I'm not sure exactly what this accessory is. The quality is good, but the value is...not very high.

LIKED: Fantastic artwork, you have to give that to forge.

DISLIKED: I'm not really sure what this product is supposed to be and I don't find it very useful.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
I liked this one. I felt like I was travelling thru the Misty Mountains of "The Hobbit" awaiting the goblins to strike.

The goblin lair was well illustrated and described. It wasn't boring or dull. The story elements are very useful.

It's the Forge. Quality and utility are their hallmarks. It's hard to find a real reason to complain with these guys.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
I buy quite a few PDF products. They are cheap and some of the content is very good. Every now and then I'll buy something that's garbage, but I read the reviews and try to keep those purchases to a minimum. And then sometimes you buy something that turns out to be a true gem. This is one of those gems. You might be thinking to yourself "but it's about goblins, one of the most overdone monsters out there," and you'd be right. Buy this anyway. The art is top of the line, some of the best I've seen. And they give you handouts of the art so the players can enjoy it too. The map is great, and the lair seems to work (and I'll state here that I haven't actually used this product yet). If this review doesn't convince you then I urge you to visit their web site and download one of the many great free products, just to get an idea of the quality of their product. There's enough free material on their web site to start a campaign - I'm not kidding. They have made themselves a customer for life. I can't wait for their next product.

LIKED: The art is excellent. The handouts are beautiful. The map is also very nice.

DISLIKED: I had to look hard to find something that bothered me, and what I found it this: the map does not have a grid system overlaid on it, so determining distance will be a chore.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
