A helpful and imaginative example of infusing magically inclined characters into a low-fantasy setting.

On top of the cleanly laid out options, the monograph is sprinkled with added flavour and helpful suggestions of possibilities that are likely to give you inspiration and guidance for your own builds. Whilst being an easy and enjoyable read.

Each of the two main backgrounds has a distinct and inventive approach to how a player may have come to be imbued or affected by the fey, sharing of course a penchant for the the underlying whiff of whimsy, as well as a feeling of being someone (to a degree) between worlds.

And further within each one, a wide and colourful variety of options to build upon (from subtler to starker encounters, from newer to ancient connections, from grim to more whimsical consequences).

To note also, the layout is easy on the eyes and the wonderful artwork gives the work an added unique quality.

For what little bit is in The Enchanted, it is well-written and inspirational. One issue, perhaps the only issue, I have with it is that it’s incredibly brief. Give me more. Can we get some thematic reasons for why we may be running a low-magic campaign, for example? What are the repercussions of openly practicing magic? Is it a crime? Or is it that magic is unstable and has larger consequences?

Wood states in the supplement that there are plans to release more unique backgrounds through Grisly Eye Games (presumably via DMs Guild) which, to me, suggests that either this product is incomplete or that you'll need to buy extra supplements to have a fully-realized player options accessory.
