The full game was never released, even in the years between this coming out and City of Heroes eventually shutting down. So this quickplay pack is all that really remains of this particular tabletop adaption.

It's interesting, and tries very hard to replicate aspects of the MMO that maybe it shouldn't. A curiosity more than anything else at this point, if you played City of Heroes and were interested in how it might have gotten adapted to tabletop play, well, it's free. Check it out. Maybe even try running a session. Don't plan on it going beyond one session, though. There's lots of other, much better, and actually complete superhero games you can play.

The game and rules are solid, though I do wish there was some kind of update when this would get released! I'm dying to get my hands on the full set of rules!

I have played both CoH and CoV, either one was good. Placing it in RPG form is an undertaking, although I find some areas to be unrefined but that happens at the beginning of each game and their collective genre. The skills section seems to lack something since they cover so much. I suggest for each skill to have 2-3 subskills that a player is able to utilize well.

The unisystem mechanics work very well for a super hero based gamed. I am looking forward to seeing the final product.

This looks like it is going to be a fantastic super-hero system that follows the outstanding work Eden has done with BtVS and Angel.... when they finish it.

Unfortunately, this "Quickplay" preview appears to have been rushed to press. The rules are an incomplete mash of the full rules and just enough to play the scenario. My son is a rabid Unisystem GM and even with his help we had to invent a lot of rules on the fly to get through the game. Maybe if we were both City of Heroes players too...

Very easy to use, well written, and interesting treatment. Not quite as elegant or broad in scope as some other "Heroes/Supers" settings but certainly playable and enjoyable for fans of the computer based game. It was only the quickplay version, so a bit brief, I'll probably stick to Champions for myself.
