I've seen a lot of debate about this item on various forums, mainly focusing on the price point. I danced around whether to purchase or not but finally took the plunge and i'm glad I did.
The PDF is nicely presented and is full of useful information.
The bare bones rules section presents exactly what is needed to play the accompanying adventure and give the purchaser an idea of what to expect from the full game to follow later in the year.
The real meat of the PDF is the adventure, however which ties nicely into the 2003 mini series and provides an ideal launch pad from which to send your players off in one of several directions. I found the adventure to be well written, providing some interesting challenges, both physical and moral, for the players to overcome. Four pregenerated characters are provided, with each detailed in a two page sheet with game stats, illustration and background. The characters are interesting for the most part but are tailored for this adventure so your players won't be able to tweak them much, at least until the full game comes out. Having said that, they work well in the context of the adventure which is obviously the reason for their inclusion here.
Overall, I found this to be a worthwhile purchase which has got me eager for the release of the full game
