It's a great starting point to get ideas going. There are some things i have to edit myself, but given that the D&D world tells us the gods are important, but doesn't have a way of exploring their importance in game, I think this supplement is a great edition.

Excellent source book. I like the way the formating was changed from the first edition. Well written and plenty of obvious research from preivious edition sources. Loved the Avariel race added in the elf section. It would have been nice to see a little more "original" additions like this though. Solid 4.75 out of 5 for me.

This is a good book for DMs. Lots of depth for the religions of monsters. If your DM permits monsterous PCs, this book will give players that want to be a drow paladin a fair amount of source material.

The second book does not dissapoint. Filled with a wealth of great knowledge and fun subclasses, this book brings a lot to the table. I really can't recommend this enough for anyone that plays in the Forgotten Realms setting, letting your players play a subclass that's specifically made for their god ceratinly makes them feel very cool! The spells and items are also very interesting and unique. The layout and art is all really nice, they've done a fantastic job with this one!

I love both your books, Pt 1 & 2. 400 pages of great material and I want more! Only thing I think you should improve is a better Table of Contents.

The professionalism of the book is great. Art is used effectively without taking center stage and navigation is a breeze with the bookmarks and table of contents. But it’s the book’s usefulness that pushes it towards being worth owning in physical form.

Ultimately, Faiths 2 is a wonderful guide for players and DMs alike to enrich their game. For those of you who involve yourselves in ongoing campaigns, it is almost a must-have.

I want this bad boy in hardcover so bad so I can plot it on my shelf right next to all my other books. What Micah and his team have done with this project is build from their first in a way that blows it out of the water. I remember looking through the original Faiths of the Forgotten Realms that a friend of mine had let me borrow, and this brought me back to that. Full of class options, new religious mechanics, and full of updated lore, Faiths of the Forgotten Realms II is a stellar addition to anyone's table if you are looking to have a spiritual or religius character who isn't your traditional plate-mail wearing, hammer-wielding bulky palabro. There is so much talent in this book and it shows - it is well laid out, amazingly organized, and just screams professionalism. It is really hard to pick just one subclass that I like from it, but I gotta give it to the Hearth Domain in the Dwarven Pantheon section (yes, they group archetypes by race domain, making it even easier to navigate). Overll, stellar work on this book, and if you don't have it, rememdy that NOW. Comics, Clerics, & Controllers d20 Roll: Nat 20

Faiths of the Forgotten Realms II is exactly what you want in a sequel! This gorgeously-formatted text contains 100 subclasses and spells, 50 Faerun deities, holy books, and new magic items. Coming from a star-studded cast of authors, you can rest assured the contents of this product have been tested. My only critique is the lack of an appendix sorting the archetypes by class and/or an appendix of the spells, but navigating the document is still straightforward.

I have yet to read it all, and choosing favorites is not easy, but I would have to go with:

  • Archetype - the Druid Circle of the Raccoon under the Gnomish deity Baervan Wildwanderer for their big raccoon companion!
  • Spell - Corellon's Arrow for the Legend-of-Zelda-light-arrow nostalgia it gives me :)
  • Holy text - Gruumsh's Litany of War, Death and Conquest, which is in fact a massive wardrum crafted from the tattooed skin of ancient shamans.
  • Magic item - the Spider Rod because the user can expend charges to cast the web spell and fire silken strands at targets 60 ft away AND because its charges replenish at midnight -- just a great detail!

If deities feature at all in your games, you will benefit from Faiths of the Forgotten Realms II.
