This is something that I never really thought about needing until I saw it. I have ruins from other sets, but this allows me to simply add some bits to existing FDG models that I have built and instantly increase my number of ruins.

You must have other FDG building sets. This set only includes things that add on to existing buildings.

Another excellent effort by FDG. I have most of their material and it melds well together. This one is all forest and nothing but forest. It includes paths, an entire tile of forest, and some forest edging.

Pros Photo-looking style set really pops

You get a good number of tiles for the price.

Cons No forest path. Sure, they include a ground path, but there is no tile with a path surrounded by trees. I was hoping they would have done something like that with some layered trees.

Weak layering. Most of FDG stuff makes very good use of layers to turn the same tile into different looks. Nothing like that with this set.

Even in 2002 the graphics were simplistic and poor - they have not aged well. This makes the price a very poor reflection upon the use and quality of the product. Somewhere between $1.00 and $1.50 would be better suited for these graphics.

The layout themselves are decent, if rather uninspired. At least they manage to cover the basis for a traditional "fantasy" manor house.

If the price was a better reflection of the quality then I would rate this product as 4 stars, but given the high price for such low quality I cannot see giving it that rating.
