This document is a great aid for anyone wanting to design their own setting or add archetypes/species to existing ones. It presents a method in 7 steps to create new archetypes/species. By following this guideline, you are sure to make something balanced with any archetypes/species from official sources. It is short yet well made and it even gives you two examples of archetype/species creation using the presented method. A must have in your Genesys library!

Great breakdown of the species/archetype creation process as well as some good definitions and rules of thumb. Highly recommended even for experienced GM's you might know all the stuff in here but it really helps to put word and structure to the process. The hardest part is usually step 7 as mentioned in the book to create truely unique abilities for species. The book gives some good hints to costing and creating these.

This little doc breaks down the rules as written contained within Genesys books (Core, Realms of Terrinoth, and Android: Shadow of the Beanstalk), while further articulating how a GM or designer would go about the art of generating a new species, and more specifically, how to distinguish between species and archetypes. Beck really takes you step-by-step in easy to understand terms, and then by taking you through the process of creating an archetype and then applying it to a species. This little PDF may be pay as you want, but I plan to hand over more $ for mine. Nicely done and a solid buy!

For me, a GM just learning the Genesys system, this additional info on species and archetype creation is fantastic, and really helps me understand the process a bit more. I love learning these new little nuances. I liked it so much, I went back and bought it again for a fee, even though it was initially free! Thank you so much for this!
