I think this style of adventure is exactly what we need - flexible enough to pick up and play anywhere with the option for solo, gmless groups and DM'd groups. The events were fun and offered a range of all of the pillars of D&D - exploraton, social and combat. Choices mattered and I hope Don and Kienna team up to make another adventure. Play time with 2 players no GM was 4 hours with bio breaks. A thrilling ride from start to finish - bravo!

Picked up this adventure and wasn't disappointed! What starts as a quest from a kooky sorcerer turns into a fight for survival alongside your bestest friend in all the planes. Excellent as a solo adventure to give yourself a cool back story, or as a group 1st adventure together (Though the combats are a doozy with more than 1 person) Definite agree with another reviewer that Fireball Alley is a highlight of the adventure that is not to be missed. Highly recommended for folks looking to ease into Descent into Avernus, or D&D in general. This will be entering my rotation of modules to run at conventions with all the fun encounters and options it offers!

This adventure is worth playing for the crazy ride through fireball alley alone! But there are so many other possiblilities and they all add up to a bunch of twists and turns that will provide a solid backbone in any fledgling PCs backstory. I did it solo, a few times! I can't wait for Descent to come out so I can connect the two and continue my characters adventures in hell (bashful grin).

This book has just about everything you could want to get ready for Descent into Avernus. Pregen characters with easy to read sheets for those that need it or anyone who wants to get into the action quickly! The adventure scales for a Solo-challenge up to a full group of adventurers and is challenging and rewarding at any "tier". The encounters are interesting and different and try to account for the many ways a group could handle the adventure and it's challenges, from talking your way out of every fight to going full murder hobo and anything in between.

If you've not gotten the chance to experience the craft these two bring to the game you are missing out! Don and Kienna are masterful writers and together they've crafted an amazing adventure. Believe me when I say you haven't seen the last of these two power house writers, designers and ttrpg fans.
