This was the first adventure I ran for my d20 Modern group. The PCs came from 'today' so the idea of a missile silo to explore was a great opening for them, familiar yet a good view into this new world they found themselves in. Everyone loved the adventure and took full advantage of the rooms based on the descriptions. The only downside was when the one new player, running a deaf mutant, decided to never listen to my descriptions and dove head first into rods sticking up in the shallow water (shallow where he dove in). ugh but a good laugh for the rest of us.
Ran this one as a Play-By-e-Mail. The module is excellent as an introductory adventure; it should be short enough to play out in a single evening. Check out some of the resources online for abandoned missile silos - I used a lot of photographs in my PBeM.
This system is one of the best new systems that I have found. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the attention to detail. I would highly recommend this setting as well as the other items that are available to the public.
This module, even through short, it very well done and would make a great introduction to the setting as well as could be used as a base of operation for the players.
The download is in PDF which is so cool since it makes it look like you have just brought it off the shelf. The size is good for dial-up so you do not have to wait forever to see this work.

Publishers note - We realise that this review gives us 5 stars but that is not the reason why we would like to give this reviewer 5 stars in return, this review is well written and gives a feel for the book without listing the contents of the book chapter by chapter, as so many reviewers seem to do nowadays, all in all this is what a review should be like. Year of the Zombie is about much more than zombies, its a D20 based source book, easily adaptable to most game systems, for a post apocalyptic world, with or without Zombies - Personal note I do think the zombies make a fiendish foe though.
I have discovered Darwin's world quite recently and I am impressed by the quality of the work. This is a very goog post apocalyptic setting and well developped on the DarwinRPG web site.
This particular supplement (cave of life) is a small and nice setting which is suitable for an ambush type scenario.
