Nicely done!! Great starship creation/ combat rules. The only drawback is that the classes are pure D20, no D20 modern advanced classes here. But besides that one missing element, this is a solid book to have if you want a space opera styled game.
It is a nice product. Good system. I just find Blood and Space to be a better product. Maybe if the author does a 2.0 of this book, cleaning up some rules & adding some more background detail, the book could realy come into it's own.
Seemed a little too plug and play for my tastes.
I perfer Deeds Not Words to this system. Although this is great if you are looking to add super powers to an existing D20 fantasy game or even D20 Modern (with very little tweeking needed)
Not as good as I thought it would be. The system is well thought out, I just found Deeds not Words to be a bit more my style. If you have tried DNW & don't like that system, give this one a try, it just might be your cupa joe!
I realy perferred Four Color to Fantasy & Deeds Not Words over this product. i have not had the chance to see the printed book for this system, which the author revised before going to print. I would recomend hitting your local hobby shop & flipping through the print copy to get a feel for it. Many people like this one. I like systems that don't deviate quite so much from the core D20 ruleset.
Well done piece of work. I've always liked the "gamma world" genre & the bots were always my favorite type of nastie to throw at my players. The rules are nicely thought out & the layout is pleasing to go through. I just wish they included a low or no grafix version that was more printer friendly.
Still well worth the coinage. <Note: This product does not completely fit in the 2.0 revised edition of hte game. It does take a littel tweeking to get it to mesh with that system. but I hear they are planning on updating this to the 2.0 rules>
