yet another cool class from C. Field. Like most of his work, this is slightly overpowered compared to the typical D20 modern fair, but it works well. The power progression scales nicely, with no one level seeming to have a huge jump in power level.
If you like a supers feel to your game, try the lightweaver!!

A very well put together class, if slightly overpowered. The abilities the Gravity Slinger posseses is just sweet!
Again, this is a slightly more powerful class than those found in D20 Modern core book or D20 future, but it realy works well in a supers styled game.

There are too many classes that are simply too similar to this one. Not that original.

it is an interesting class, but some of the mechanics seemed a bit skewed. The class abilities that is.

After a good product like Psi-Watch, I was actually disappointed in this product. The new rules are just as cool and playable as the ones in Psi-Watch, and he did add page number to this hefty volume. What was still missing were bookmarks, a table of contents and an in depth index. There is an index, just not a very good one.
The setting itself is less enjoyable than the one presented in Psi-Watch. I know, they are the same setting, but it sounded better in Psi-Watch, whereas it seems stuck on a sexual revolution in Otherverse America. The setting did not seem to have nearly as much action and super-spy intrigue as Psi-Watch. It was more a Deathrace 2000 styled fray. (That's an old 70's movie)
Bottom lime: The layout needs a lot of work. The rules sections could have definitely been better organized. It makes it hard for someone who is making a character to find all the rules needed as they are terribly spread out through the book.
I really like what this author does. I have most of his Dept 7 classes and for all it's faults, I love Psi-Watch. I just wish this was as good as the Psi-Watch setting.

Ok, my first detailed review, here it goes:
Content: 5
Layout: 2
Overal: 4
The good: The races & classes are all very interesting though somewhat overpowered compared to official classes released by WotC. That is ok though, as the author advises, this is for a setting more akin to the early Image Comics & Manga. The feats section is packed with new feats, some not too good, some quite usefull indeed. There are psi-based feats as well as a slew of feats that can be used in any kind of espionage type game. Those psi based feats are very well done. There are 2 levels of psi, psionic precurser - basic or simple psi feats, or abilities that lead to psi & psionic feats which present the all out supper-bad psi you come to expect in a high power game. The power armor section is a godsend. His take on skinsuits, hardsuits & shells is realy a great expansion to the mecha section in D20 Future. In fact, he could probably do pretty well in sales if he pulled that out and released it independently from the rest of the document. The last section, the background info is fleshed out well enough to dive into the setting with minimal work, which is a very good thing.
The Bad: Layout & Editing. The layout is poorly done. the document has no page numbers so caution is advised if you print it out. There are typos throughout and one class, The Combat Type is missing it's advancement table, instead it has the advancement table for The Frontliner. This was easily correctable, I sent an email to the author and within a day I had a word doc. of the corrected class.
The Final verdict: I still think this product is worth the money. The new crunch within realy adds a new vitatlity & excitement to the game. I just hope the author will go back & re-edit the volume to eliminate the typos & errors as well as clean up the layout. I've seen many products here on RPG Now that weren't laid out quite well and the authors eventually corrected them. Hope he does. Till the, buy this anyway if you are looking for soem extra punch for your game!

Simply awesome!
It's very quickly identifiable. Anyone who still wants to play 3.5 can easily & immediately recognize this.
I also love all the options included. The different versions. It save time for me & others as we do not have to change the format or adjust it.
Thank you!

Overal a good product. I realy like the mix of feats & abilities introduced as well as the new classes. However, I would have liked to have seen real world styles.
Still, this is a good alternative for those who may not have liked Blood & Fists

A great attempt at a Super hero RPG for the D20 Modern system. However, I do not like that the powers are directly tied to your level. I've found the OGL Mutants & Masterminds or CryptoSnark Game's Deeds Not Words to be better products.

Absolutely great Adventure! Perfect mix of horror & suspense. I plan on using it for my Dark*Matter D20Modern game I'm starting up this summer.
Highly recomended if you want a horror, X-Files, Friday the 13th (T.V. show, not movies) kind of feel!!

A very well done "creepy, horror" type adventure. This is a great, shock your players adventure for those running a more horror investigative game (like me). The level of combat is turned up a notch more than I normaly run. It was a pleasant (for me) suprise that caught my players off gaurd.
I recomend this heartedly!

This was done very well. The author does show he's got a very solid graps on the D20/D20M mechanics. I like that he used real world styles & techniques. The execution of those styles & techniques leaves me feeling that this is more for those wanting to run a primarily martial arts game. This is not a very good book if you just want to plug one or two items into your game (The Game Mechanics Martial Arts Meyhem is good for that). this is a perfect supplement for those wanting to run a "Hong Kong Nights/ Jackie Chan kinda game (Which The Game Mechanics books fall just shy of).
So if you want just a wee bit of martial arts or want to just spice up your game a little, this is not hte best product (still good!) But if you are looking for that Samurai Sunday program that ran in the '80's. THIS IS THE BOOK TO GET!
