What I love the most of this product is that provides you a list of characters (one of them along with its lair) that are inspired from stock art available to use in this platform.

Each character can be used as a ally or villian, and with their backstory & personalities trait they are most certainly fun to run for your players. I am sure there will be at least two that you would like to use for your future sessions.

I purchased all four of the Villains and Lairs supplements yesterday, based on... well... a hunch.

Wow, was that a good hunch.

I've only had a chance to peruse all four of them, and I will be digging in further. But this is some of the best supplemental content I've purchased yet. This stuff is GREAT, and as a DM who's getting back into D&D after a 15-year layoff - and suddenly finds himself at the helm of two different games - having this stuff available to either use, modify, or spark my imagination, is going to be invaluable. Every NPC I've seen in these guides so far has some sort of spark, or twist, or perspective that is unique/different. They're giving me all sorts of ideas. And that is awesome.

So - thank you very much for this. Money very well spent, and I will be eagerly digging through the rest of your catalog.

Going to classifiy this in the "why didn't I think of it first" catagory. Nice work.

These villains seem really interesting and I can't wait to integrate them into my home games. My only issue is that the map for the Dark Balance Monastery being at an angle makes it a little difficult for me to work with but this can probably be avoided by purchasing the VTT compatable version!

"In my game analee's fiance had robbed the party causing the them to send the hand to kill him and retrieve what was stolen. there is then a time jump and the party meets christhia. she tells them about her story (but says she doesn't know the name or look of the killer) and joins them on the rest of there quest. when the group returns to there safe house they meet the hand expecting to be paid. the party wanted to hear the story, proof that he's dead and there treasure back. the hand returned the treasure and told the story (which matched christias background). he finishes by pulling two heads out of his bag as proof which causes christia to loose her mind. the game ended with the party choosing either to help one or the other in a fight to the death."

This is just one of many different situations that these villains can fit into. If you need a villain for a story you've already started then its easy to implement these characters. However with everything given its more rewarding to just run with there backstory. All in All this was great and very useful. 10/10 would recommend.

If you haven't purchased the Villains & Lairs I and II yet... well here's your chance to get a flavor of it. The authors, layout, and art are all top notch. Mine the hell out of these to create a little depth to your game. Throw them into your adventure to help the party, to realize in 3-4 sessions later that they are a villain! It adds flavor and color, and makes your story that much better.

And folks...let me step up on my soapbox for a second. I know you may be tempted to just take this and run. Or worse, the 2 cent purchase (yes, that happens). Resist the urge. Please consider paying ALL YOUR PROJECTS at least the minimum amount, if you want to keep seeing this kind of quality coming. Have you tried making stuff like this? It's hard.
