One of the first games this year that I picked up and just want to play instantly. Seems like loads of fun. Rules are easy to pickup, there's enough content to provide for many sessions, and it was a great price. I've played through several Free League games, Mork Borg, Vaesen, Blade Runner, CY-Borg and Death in Space, and while all of them were great for one shots, none have quite grabbed me the way this one has for some reason. Can't wait to try it out.

This was the first game we played irl in months. I ran a one shot. Everyone had a fantastic time, the rules are simple, but provide enough guidance that I never ran into a situation where I was stuck. Character creation was the best aspect. Each player gave me a comic character they wanted to emulate powerset, i created 5 characters in 20 minutes. If I had structured the campaign for anything other than a one shot, the experience rules are the most robust of any of the "tiny" rulesets. Great game for those who want a supers game without needing to read 10 pages on how to break a door down.

Like all Tiny D6 products, this is a great set of mini rules. This one doesn't bring much new to the table other than a few zombiee rules, but the price is right for that. it is a complete system. I am currently giving it four stars due to the number of typos that could have been cleared with a second read easily. Most of the rules are copied and pasted and while I have no problem with that, some of the rules that were copied don't belong such as character creation telling you to select an archetype. Easy fixes and having seen their other products, I don't doubt most will be fixed soon.

After trying to introduce my kids, girls 7 and 12, to dnd I decided to try a kid friendly rpg. After much trolling of the Internet, hero kids came up as the most often recommended. I bought the bundle on Saturday and have already played through Basement of Rats twice this weekend. The first time, I played through, the kids decided not to cooperate with each other and would leave the other behind at inappropriate moments. This ended with them being defeated by the rats and a lecture on why they failed, a great teachable moment for siblings who bicker a lot. Last night we played through again, this time they talked things through, and they were much more happy with the outcome. We then talked about why they made it this time, and not the last. I think they understand completely now. This is not Monopoly or Sorry. They are already asking me to print up the next adventure, and I will try to fit in another one today. I am very happy to see them so excited. I would definitely recommend this to any adult rpg player wanting to get their kids into the hobby. Great introduction, easy to understand rules. After playing through the bundle I may try to reintroduce dnd if they want, but with new adventures awaiting in Bayhaven, I will probably give them a choice. As for me, I kind of hope they choose Hero Kids, much less work on my part is involved, which means more time to play.
