Magic Mood Rings
Publisher: Ordinary Human Games

Not a bad idea, but just an idea. Only a graphic with several different colours and the possible effects from said colour. Would not be a bad product with some more fleshing out.

Agreed! I'll need to go into it with system specific ideas for it to really work at the table I think. Maybe do a 5e page, a Labyrinth Lord page and I could see a DCC one going over quite well with that crowd.

CyberCrawl: Cybernetics for Fifth Edition

This product is two pages of cybernetics and one page of a new rogue subclass. Very simiple system to add to any game. I would have prefered a larger list but you receive over 30 cybernetics enhancements. Definately going to add this to my next sci fi game.

Great story, very well received by my players. The horror mounts as the truth is slowly uncovered. I would definately run it again.

50 Victorian City Encounters
Publisher: Fishwife Games
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 03/11/2019 00:10:18

Same format as other Fishwife game "x" encounter series: name, gender, age; and a quick description providing mood, an obvious trait (tired/clumsy), and / or a hook about what the person is doing when encountered (quickly exiting the local bank). At one page this is a useful product for a GM to have just sitting in a binder or somewhere else for quick reference. No system mechanics are mentioned as none are needed. While these descriptions are tailored to fit the victorian era they easily would work for encounters in a good-sized city of the modern era.

Good bundle collecting four useful generators. As system agnostic products these are good for GMs of any post-apocylptic setting.

Gregorius21778: 100 names of post-apocalyptic tribes
Publisher: Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 03/10/2019 03:19:04

This is a useful generator for the GM needing a quick on the fly tribal name: Fireborn Clan, Plasticwrap People, or Metalsnake Tribe all are nice examples quickly firing up the imagination.

The only negative being the names are already constructed whole, (descriptor)(noun)(organization). The list would have greater variety if these elements had been broken apart. Easy enough to do on the fly, but would have been nice to have already.

Good product offering a nice variety of skeletons. Even if you're using a different system (as my group does) there's plenty of description in each stat block to still provide inspiration.

A nice system for introducing some more depth to characters. Applying a proficiency in narrow situations, and even having rules for skill specialization while being proficient in a skill gives useful growth opportunities.

A very simple system for having characters know more about the world around them. This will mesh perfectly with a setting that prioritizes harvesting parts from kills.

100 Wasteland Locations
Publisher: Fishwife Games
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 03/09/2019 05:13:39

A good quick one page listing of places to find in the wasteland. Name, description, and then quick hook for the place. Ideal for quick, on-the-fly locations. Sample
Opal's Bar And Grill (Roadhouse Bar)- Active: Gang Spot (Crimson Sluts) Crawdad Hollow (Rural Neighborhood)- Infested: Mutant Cannibals

The only downside is the product being one page.

Emerald Valley by Night
Publisher: White Wolf
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 02/03/2018 05:12:21

Being from Eugene, I was excited to see this book, nice to see some of the old places introduced to a wider audience. The emphasis on humanity instead of a violent sect conflict was nice to read. All of the characters had good hooks to either make the Emerald Valley a starting point or destination in a campaign. Really enjoyed those new merit & flaws. They are not tied to the setting and could easily fit into any location. All of them are more focused on encouraging roleplaying opportunities to help provide hooks and motivations for a character.

Only 4 stars as I agree some editing wold benefit this document. This is a strong showing, with much potential just could use a little tightening in a few places.

This book is five pages with only two being content, however those two pages are great. The three line setup of the prophecies makes for easy mixing and matching. I fully recommend this product and can imagine I'll get lots of use out of it..

Rage Warriors of the Apocalypse
Publisher: White Wolf
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 06/11/2017 16:27:11

Such a great book.

Originally all these NPCs were cards for the Rage card game. As this book was released after several expansions of that ccg, there are garou of every rank, many fera, all sorts of wyrm minions for you use.

The background on every NPC is brief (about as much as seen in any Rage Across... book) but descriptive enough to be easily slid into a campaign. Great book for needing a antagonist quick and on the fly, here you go: rank 4 Silver Fang braggert, easy; a BSD pack to harass the PCs, no problem, got enough for two packs; Pentex First Team - this book has it all.

On the downside: this is a 2nd edition book, some Gift choices were not present back then, and some skills existed that don't now (w20th edition); also sometimes the written background doesn't seem to match whatever the person giving stats had in mind - the Gifts / skills of the NPC seem to be missing essential assets (character is a healer of note, but has no healing skills/rites)(character is known for commanding the wind but no Gift to explain this power).

Great book, will always have a use for this at my table.
