Just ran this adventure last night with brand new players. The 'Escape Room' concept is one they were all familiar with so it gave them a shorthand for what they might expect in the game. I made the portraits, nametags and items in to phisical props which made them extra excited each time they found one. Really good balance and I love a oneshot that has a real world timelimit. The house spat them out before the final fight. They might go back who knows. I have used this as a begining in to a homebrewed campaing. Thank You!
