A smart and punchy RPG which wastes no time sucking you into its world, Entromancy is a splendid choice for those who want to give sci-fi RPGs a try without having to digest thousands of pages of decades-old lore or using an unfamiliar rules system. If you can play 5E, you can be in Entromancy's realistic shades-of-grey in minutes, and it's a very cool setting which will greatly appeal to fans of genre blending (not to mention the San Francisco Bay Area). Traditional classes stand alongside brilliant new additions like the Arcane Pitcher, who dispenses magical wrath from a leather baseball mitt. Dozens of individual characters come to life with just a few sentences of description, and there's enough diversity yet simplicity here to appeal to all. A lack of description can sometimes be confusing (What IS a high auric? What does a Merlin-class Walker look like? The game seems to assume you already know these things), but it's a small price to pay for a great book which never wastes your time. I couldn't put it down, and would love to play in it!
