A unique concept by a very prolific author. A simple roll of three dice (preferably different colors) can quickly provide you information as easy as a Yes / No / Maybe all the way up to a monster's role (personality) and who that monster targets in combat to social answers like an NPC lying to you. 216 possibilities and as always with J. Evans Payne, the inspiration to form your own creative ideas and plans. Now I own 4 books by this author. I have become a fan.

I have grown to be a fan of this author and as a result, have purchased 3 books (so far) and I have a handful of PDFs. I wish I can comment that the whole book is great, but at 600+ pages, you may have to wait a year for me to say that. But I can say that what I have seen so far is very useful and I love how it delves into his other ventures, like his FlexAI book. The author is brave in that he gives you a lot of information in this book, including a comprehensive dabble into the FlexAI book, almost to the point where you don't need to buy that book. But I use the word "brave" because he provides so much information (600+ pages) and he is confident (and prolific) enough to author a 400+ page FlexAI. Not counting my PDFs and only counting the 3 books I own from J. Evans Payne, I have over 1,400+ pages of material. Thank Goodness it is reference material that I can just shoot to quickly and not read all of it, because that would take me every bit of 2 years to complete. I have a feeling that as Solo TTRPG popularity soars, we will all look back at authors like J. Evans Payne as pioneers that took us to the next level.

I love how this author is using all these charts and criteria to help my Hex Crawl experience. For years, I had tried to do similar work as author J. Evans Payne and even though I think I do a good job, Payne does it better than me. Payne uses color codes and symbols which really helps the visual learner (like myself) and that is something I could never do. I also love how just about every chart has a thorough breakdown and explanation of its elements. If I had to be critical at all, I would say it is an overwhelming amount of data and information, but I would rather have more than I need, and not use some of it, than to need something and not have access to it. I thought I was only going to buy this one book from Payne, but I am growing to be a fan of his and now have three books and a handful of his PDF works. This author does a really good job writing books for ALL levels of understanding. He is one of 2 or 3 Solo D&D (and other TTRPG) pioneers out there today and I will endorse any product that makes my game more fun.

Great product, but I really enjoy the Random Trap Generation tables on page 28. I use it often.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is my favorite book in my entire Dungeons & Dragons collection and I even bought two copies just in case I ever misplace the original.

An awesome accessory for BECMI or B/X and I use it just about every week for several years. At the time I posted this, the lowest rating for this product was a 3 star. I read that review and it was inaccurate. None of the creatures in this product are in the Rules Cyclopedia. I love how there are both fantastic and real-life creatures like hawks, eagles, and even skunks. I also love the Environment Tables at the rear of this book.

A lot of work was put into this accessory and I find it very useful and inspiring.
