First off, GU: Japan is big. It clocks in at 113 pages total, including covers and several pieces of full-page artwork.
GU: Japan has a lot of information in it. It includes a wealth of background information about Japan's Guardian program and the group responsible for investigating supernatural threats.
There are several pages of information about the different bases utilies by Japan's heroes and the devices used to protect them. It would have been nice to have some maps for these locations though.
The strength of this product is it's characters. GU: Japan has tons of NPC's ranging from the head of Japan's Guardian Program to Lord Sunder. A massively powerful demon lord that is the cause for so many of the island nations problems. As always Jay has gone to great lengths to create interesting characters that can be used a multitude of ways.
This is a great product for G-Core, it's spiritual predecessor or pretty much any super-hero based game.
