This is a pretty cool product. I loved 4e. The only issue I really have with this product is that it fails to utilize the 5e language. Adding the complexity and verbaige of 4e into 5e was, imo a poor decision. If you don't mind the change in complexity, its a good addition to your game.

A lot of hard work makes a book full of well-fleshed out materials for any DM to use. 5/5.

Love these! I have slowly been adding some of the exploits to my players characters, and they have been loving them too. I really want to try a game where they start where the are a core mechanic.

A fantastic book that your players will love you for. All the abilites inside are balenced and well thought out aswell as being unique in their own right. My players have loved aquiring extra little perks from this book, it always gets them so excited when i hand them a small list of abilities and allow them to choose one. The abilities also really help diversify charecters, so each time that 1player who always rolls human fighter plays his charecter is more unique incombat.

i also massively recommend checking out his other title Arcane Incantations it's basically this but for casters and it's absolutely fantastic aswell.

The material is fine and written in such a way that it doesn't break anything. The 4e style wording ("adjacent" instead of "within 5 feet") was a throwback but the actual mechanics don't flow nicely. Things like "-2 penalty to AC" aren't hard to follow, but is still very 4e.

That being said, without having broken my game so far and being a fan of blessings/boons, I like the product overall. I think I would have preferred it if the author tried harder to adapt these to fifth edition wording but even with that caveat, it's not a bad supplement.

I do not suggest allowing bleeding to stack however. No other conditions stack and that makes book keeping awkward.

Thank you, the wording of "adjacent" is generally supposed to be changed to "within 5 feet". Things like that are what I'm mostly trying to clean up. If you found other wordings that feel awkward or don't flow with 5e, feel free to let me know and I'll look at it.

These Martial Exploits are wonderfully flavorfully, and provide a great framework for spicing up the martial classes in your game. I haven't been able to stop imagining the situations in which each could be used or bestowed, and greatly look forward to their use.

An excellent product with content that I've wished someone would make for so long. The excution is good and the powers are fairly balanced. By no means are the abilities presented here not strong, but I feel that this is the point. If a player asks to be trained by an old warrior, or a ranger practices on trick shots, or if a paladin swears he will protect his friend, then they can overcome their limitations and aqcuire new abilites, useful to the martial classes that sometimes feel limited to "I attack with my sword".
