This is a great one page adventure that sets up a problem that has no official solution but allows plenty of scope for player ingenuity. I think it would work very well with the ultra-light Cepheus Quantum rules (although you can, of course, run it with any Traveller-type ruleset). However, I would like to have had a bit more information on the Aori people – I appreciate the format limits the adventure to one page but I think there was room to at least include what Tech Level they are.

Thanks for the kind review. You're right, I should've made some sort of indication as to the Aori's Tech Level; it's 0, although I suppose the Ref can bump it up to 1 if (s)he wants to make them a little more aware of what's going on. I've made the correction to the file. |

A humourous, intelligent and insightful guide to improving your GMing skills, with advice for beginners, veterans and everybody in between. Highly recommended, with 5 stars for content. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that the writing style is a bit too verbose for my tastes.

If this was an early draft of someone’s house rules then I would describe it as a promising start. As a commercial product it is sadly lacking and probably unplayable in its current form.
It looks like the scan of a physical product rather than an electronic document. There is also a lot less content here than you’d expect from a 137 page PDF, due to the vast amount of white space.
As per the product description, you get a summary of the Cthulhu mythos and the Fate Core rules. You also get the stats for 20 monsters and a dozen NPCs, and rules for the Cthulhu Mythos skill, some Unnatural Powers and insanity rules.
Cover / acknowledgements / contents: 4 pages (contents page is hyperlinked); Setting: 27 pages; Mythos Sites: 5.5 pages (12 sites); Dreamlands: 4.5 pages (11 sites); Monsters: 26 pages (20 monsters); Fate Core Rules: 43 pages; Running the Game: 7 pages; Creating Adventures: 20 pages (including example scenario).
I also didn’t like the way some of the wording is taken directly from the works of H.P. Lovecraft without attribution.

A nice little PDF with 20 traits you can add to monsters to make them tougher and/or more interesting, together with a suggestion as to what that should do to the CR.
Each trait is considered to be roughly equivalent to a feat, although there is quite a wide disparity in combat usefulness between the traits - I'd feel quite happy handing some of them out for free, whilst a couple could be quite powerful in the right circumstances.

Six well-drawn city maps (although I already had a map of Neverwinter). You can never have enough maps!

Over 50 pieces of art. I'm glad I got it, as there are four or five pieces that really grabbed me, and it's "Pay what you want" so the price is right!
There aren't any I disliked, but many of them are portraits of just one person (often with a tiefling or vampire vibe), which I can't see being particularly suitable as cover art. I would have prefered more landscapes.

This is an excellent resource for True20 games set in any era.
It includes vehicles from all eras - low tech and fantasy, industrial age, golden age, modern age, near future and sci-fi. There are lots of different types - land, sea, air and space are included, too many count but well over a hundred in all.
There are also some new feats, vehicle related uses for old skills, and lots of supplemental rules.

Excellent product, that makes good use of the d20 Future ruleset and is full of imaginative ideas.
Its a good place to start a d20 future campaign as it focuses on just one planet, albeit one with a long history that will only gradually become apparent to the players.

So far, this is an excellent series of adventures (only the first four have been released to date) with a greta mix of combat, role-playing and problem solving.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure path.

I bought it for its innovative rules system, but this can now be purchased separately as the True 20 system.
Its a game of romantic fantasy, so should provide a good change of pace from the usual hack and slash of many d20 system games - if you can find people willing to look beyond the word "romantic" (my regular role-playing group win't even consider it, unfortunately).
It does a good job of introducing romantic fantasy, and centres around 3 countries - the utopia the players are assumed to be from, the realm of the evil sorcerer and the nation of misguided zealots.

LIKED: The tone and style; its very different from the other games I own.

DISLIKED: I woul have liked more detail about the world, rather than just having 3 nations.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
A lot of pits, and nothing else. Will use up a lot of black ink if you print them out, but I suppose that was inevitable.

LIKED: Does the job - supplies plenty of pits.

DISLIKED: All the pits are very similar. Seemed a lot less imaginative than their other tiles.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
