Like Dungeon Details Vol. 2, Dungeon Details Vol. 3 is basically three small sets in one package. And this package certainly lives up to the "details" part of the name! The three mini-sets within this package include:
(1) An alchemical lab (abandoned?) filled with pipes, beakers, boilers, barrels, grates, and other such paraphenalia (nine base tiles plus three bonus tiles). The artwork is really well done. My one "complaint," so to speak, is that all of the material inside the glass vessels is a sort of neon green (see the "cover" illustration in the product listing). I would have liked to see more variety, but you can always use a little liquid paper and colored markers if you need to alter the colors.
(2) A multi-level dungeon gate complex (six tiles). This particular dungeon entrance features arrow slits beside a large staircase leading into the dungeon, along with heavy spiked doors. Very nicely done, though you won't want to use it too often lest all your dungeons start to look alike.
(3) A wicked torture chamber (ten tiles). You get chains, spiked cells (some filled with bones of prior victims), iron maidens, an ordeal-by-drowning contraption, racks, and "operating tables." This one is fairly gruesome if you allow yourself to think about it, and could be a great setting for some prison breaks.

LIKED: Ed Bourelle's always-skillful artwork.

DISLIKED: Monochromatic goo in the alchemical lab.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
