I bought this guide based on the strength of the original edition, hoping that I would find more quality ideas.

I opened up the file - and literally found my next mini-boss within 20 seconds of looking through the guide. And I see an adventure that likely can be used with said mini-boss. Both are unique, provide great opportunities for both combat and roleplay, and are well-thought-out and well-designed. Once again - a home run that is going to save me all kinds of time and provide memorable moments.

I've had this guide for a while, and I am so glad that I got it. The NPC's built in the guide have gone a long ways towards helping me build adversaries for my players in their campaign. I've also used some of their maps as a starting point for locations. Everything is very well done, and the NPC's provide unique capabilities that surprise and challenge my players. They also spark ideas for me to use and add to other creatures they may come across.

This has definitely been my main go-to resource for helping me populate my campaign.

I purchased all four of the Villains and Lairs supplements yesterday, based on... well... a hunch.

Wow, was that a good hunch.

I've only had a chance to peruse all four of them, and I will be digging in further. But this is some of the best supplemental content I've purchased yet. This stuff is GREAT, and as a DM who's getting back into D&D after a 15-year layoff - and suddenly finds himself at the helm of two different games - having this stuff available to either use, modify, or spark my imagination, is going to be invaluable. Every NPC I've seen in these guides so far has some sort of spark, or twist, or perspective that is unique/different. They're giving me all sorts of ideas. And that is awesome.

So - thank you very much for this. Money very well spent, and I will be eagerly digging through the rest of your catalog.
