I love this piece! The location details, from the fraying ropes of the bridge to the cracks in the stonework of the archway, are darkly evocative. The adventurers are coordinating their approach to the gate, not just marching up. You don’t see much of their faces, but that puts emphasis on the location, the bridge, gate, and archway. These characters have appeared in Dean’s work before, each with their own solo piece. I would love to put together an adventure someday using all five (or more?) related pieces:
The knight/paladin from “Female Human Knight” (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/236034), presumably before she became a vampire (or maybe she’s a dhampir?) (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/235646)
The axe-wielding fighter/ranger from “Campfire” (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/213008)
The caster from “Mage” (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/204559) (I think this one is correct; the cloak color is different, but that may just be the energy shield in “Mage”)
And the scout from “Elf Rogue” (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/171188)
It's big enough to do a wrap-around on a print product, or shrink it to 1/4 area for use in a cover template. Great piece, and I’m looking forward to using it in my game and seeing it around DTRPG on game covers!
