I got interested in Skill Challenges from Matt Colville's excellent video on them, but Matt's channel isn't about giving step-by-step detailed instructions or exploring the mechanics of how to balance things, so I wanted a bit more guidance before attempting it on my own.
This supplement is great - I really think any table that likes more than just killing stuff should import this mechanic into their game. This supplement provides clear, easy guidelines for implementing a challenge, with lots of examples to illustrate. It's also really easy on the eyes.
Throw a dollar at it; it's definitely worthwhile.

This is a wonderful introduction to Skill Challenges, containing everything you need to run them in 5th Edition, along with some great advice. The author was even kind enough to add a Print Friendly version. Five stars!

I think that this is a good primer on skill challenges, but really falls short of the mark of what I would consider complete. There is some good information on what a skill challenge is and why you would want to use them, but very few real examples of skill challenges in play (only one example that really only touches on the DM's perspective and does not cover players' participation). The difficulty charts and the categories provided were helpful as well as a bit about how to modify the difficulty or add a bit of texture.
I have used skill challenges in my games before and have seen how fluid they need to be at times, so I was looking forward to a more extensive guide that offered pointers and how to involve multiple players. Instead, the author defaulted to "go find some 4e skill challenges from other products and use those as a template".
I think this supplement has some potential and is certainly relevant, I just wish the author had given some more actual context in the form of real examples that spanned various challenge types and how to involve the players.

This is very good supplement.
I was familiar with skill challenges from elsewhere (combination of 4e rulebooks, 4e modules and discussions available online). However, it was this document that helped me to put my thoughts in order and helped me to find inspiration for new ideas.
The information located here isn't new or ground-breaking. However, the presentation is superb, and this is very valuable (IMO, the way skill challenges were originally introduced to 4e was a total trainwreck).

If you are a creator or DM, buy this!! For less than a dollar you can save yourself countless hours of trying to figure out how to make non-combat encounters engaging. I'd buy this product for $5! No kidding, I seriously mean it. It's well written and laid out, easy to digest, and gives a great example template I can put into any adventures I write. Love it, recommend it, now buy it!

This is great! I use these all the time in 5e, but your PDF was still helpful. I recommend this to any DMs running 5e.

OMG ... makes me wonder why it took so long for someone to bring this into 5E ... and that 'someone' is a Legend!
Robert nails the technique of 4E back to 5E where it belongs. I can see this being one of those mechanics now being used at the table and in future written adventures!
Well Done ... 5 Stars is not enough!

Bringing back one of the most memorable mechanics in 4th edition (and in all honestly, one of the few mechanics everyone seemed to agree was a great idea), this is a great summary of how to utilize it in your games. Examples are included, the product is short and simple, and there's no cruft. This is exactly what 5e should be about: modular components that can be plugged in if you want to use them.
