This is an interesting adventure that has a lot of opportunities for exploration, social interaction, and role playing that was missing from a lot of adventures prior to season 8. It also plays on player expectations and forces them to reevaluate what they think they know. The bonus objectives may seem short, but that means there is a lot of time available for players to interact with the environment and NPCs. Since it can be more open-ended, it helps as a DM if you have thought about some of the situations that may arrise and you're good at thinking on your feet.

This module can be fun for players, but it needs a lot of modifications to get there. The way it's written, the players follow a couple of DMPCs through the adventure. There are a lot of scenes where these two DMPCs jump into combat and kill stuff or have long sections of dialogue with each other. The main redeeming quality is a creative skill challenge sequence. The players have to use some non-standard skill pairings, that makes for an interesting sequence.

The formatting of the module makes it a little hard to prepare: There are huge walls of text that often repeat what has already been said and make it hard to find the relevant details to set the scene.

It's a kind of interesting story and a decent module for weaker parties, since a lot of the encounters are skill challenges rather than combats. Because of that, it can kind of fall on the DM (or player, I guess) to tell a good story about the check, rather than "ok, you passed the check and the thing happens" Also, being death-cursed is no fun :(

There is a good amount of RP, and a fun story for the players to explore. There is a lot of detail with relevant history of the location and motivations and attitudes of the NPC's to help the DM play them well

It's a very straight-forward dungeon crawl that's very quick to prepare as a DM. Since it's tuned for APL 2 instead of 3, some of the combats are a bit simple. The story is very much on rails, but it's still a good module

The story is alright, and the hook kind of makes up for Season 8 rules not allowing the questgiver to offer payment as a reward. The bonus objectives could use some more details; they last about 20 minutes

It's written for APL5, and the upgrade for Strong and Very Strong parties is just adding more HP to the enemies. The combats are pretty easy like that. It would probably be reasonable to have an extra golem in the final fight for Very Strong parites.

Not having a printer-friendly version is quite annoying.

The first part of the main objective is pretty amorphous and requires that the PCs wander uselessly interacting with random NPCs or that the DM pretty much tells them exactly what to do, in which case there's really no substance to the adventure. The first bonus objective just prolongs this period of uncertainty without adding to the story.
