Wonderfully built module, especially for AL.

Good: The enemies were extremely tasteful and had plenty of abilities that threw off my table of experienced players and Ex-DMs. Kept them on their toes and proved to be a wonderful challenge.

Bad: The encounters took much longer than expected, especially will all the enemies for me to take care of. Especially with the setting of the war, it's challenging for my players to not come in with a social encounter mindset unless I really set it up this way. So it ran a lot longer than I thought it would've

Better: The cancerous magic and necrotic kiss was beyond amazing for the players to have to walk around. I was little worried at first, but it turned out to be extremely comedic and wonderfully random for players so used to using their magic. Definitely want to re-run this module just for that effect.

Worse: I found the elemental rift scenario VERY difficult for my players, although experienced. Many of them were on their last legs trying to complete the tasks on hand whilst trying to not die from it. I feel that it was something that could be either toned down into an encounter or a separate encounter/skill challenge.

Overall: This is a PERFECT combat-heavy AL module for many of the players I DM for. Amazing use of enemies. Loved the openness of Mulmaster city scapes for shaping the battlefield to my liking. Loved the simplicity of the module and is a perfect runner up after the Epic. Well done

This module used the 3 pillars the best I have ever seen. Loved the story line, the traps were just right. The enemies were very falvourful for my experienced players at the table. The bonus objectives are very achievable to accomplish and not too hard to add into a 4 hour game. 10/10 would re-run. Bonus objective A was perfectly executed, although the only feedback I'd give would be to have the question/riddle answers remove more damage from the enemy than what it currently does, because most of my players could easily do much more damage in 1 round. This way it'd promote a little less murder-hobo-ness. The Lair was well-built! The only recommendation I would have there is that, in the Wizard's laboratory, being quite close to the ritual chamber, could easily attract the enemies from the ritual room to prove to be a little more challenging for the players, as 2 separate encounters felt a little choppy and could sustain the ritual for another round or two. The ritual was easily prevented in my running through shoves, pulls, and tactical ways of controlling the battlefield. A little excerpt in the rewards section of the document for what consumables could have been found, or at least a reference to their pages would've been very helpful as I had to manually mark things down and search for them in case my players found them. Other than those little changes, this has been a wonderful module to run and I look forward to grabbing the next part to this story!

Definitely enjoyed running this module, the addition of the poison in the last battle and the use of previous adventurers becomign corrupt makes for an interesting story! Loved it and will be running it again soon.

First time I've run a good Season 8 module in a while. Loved the story line, could have been a little better worded for descriptions of the areas of the House of Vith'tyl for when the infiltrator went inside, as it was harder to describe the area by extracting informaiton from the DM's descriptions. The latter part of the module involving the ceremonial pool proved to be a good challenge to my players who normally solve puzzles very quickly. The only recommendation I have for the puzzle is that they found it hard to understand what parts of the puzzle went where, a clearer idea or method of showing the players what they need to accomplish could help a lot. I found the stat blocks to be very well made, I'd suggest having the helltouched warlocks have their helltouched features that were presented earlier in the module right in their stat block for ease and less referencing.

Currently my favourite module to run!

Hi, thanks for running the adventure and taking the time to leave the review! Unfortunately the AL template rules prevent us from integrating adjustments right into the creature's stat block, so that is no something I have control over. If you end up running the companion adventure Six Swords Unbound, you'll find lots of details on the Vith'tyl manor, you're welcome to use these if you ever rerun these ones. I'll see if any of details can be integrated right into the mod when I do the next update. Thanks again!
