Content warning is completely unnecessary, this is a stellar piece of work that's great at helping you understand the land of Zakhara.

A respectable attempt, however by triyng to "downplay sensitive content" (where "sensitive" is defined by modern twitter standards), the world feels far more bland as a result. I'd recommend buying the 2E books over this, as regardess of one's opinion on "sensitive topics", the fact is it's much more detailed and gives a much greater picture of the world at large. As for this book, I'd still recommend its bestiary, the kits mechanic, the subclass adaptations, and adventure that comes with. So it does still have some good - the lorebuilding is just the bad part.

Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron (5e)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Damian F. [Verified Purchaser]

Let's be real here; this product was a scam. We were tricked into paying for playtest content, and barely even got what we were promised with it.

It took until the release of a separate Eberron product for this book to include the Artificer class we were promised, and when it finally arrived, it was just copy-pasted from said other book without any care.

What do I mean by that?

Well, the first clue is the fact that the Artificer class has just been slapped into "Appendix D" of the book, after the visual handouts, and it is an appendix which at the time of said update wasn't even bookmarked in the PDF.

The second clue is in the "Replicable Items" tables for the Artificer's "Replicate Magic Item" infusion. It lists several unusual magic items you can replicate not found in the DMG: Armblades, Prosthetic Limbs, Wand Sheaths, Ventilating Lungs, and Arcane Propulsion Arms. Each of these items say in parenthesis, "detailed in chapter 5". Chapter 5 is the chapter for magical items in this book. Now, true, you CAN find details of the Armblades and Wand Sheathes in here. But curiously, there is no other mention of "Ventilating Lungs" or "Arcane Propulsion Arms" in this document - and the only other time "Prosthetic Limbs" are mentioned is in a brief section about beginning an adventure in a tavern.

In short, not only did we not get the full Artificer class, but we got it shoddily copied in after it was released elsewhere.

This product is not worth your money. If you bought it like me, I feel sorry for us all. For anyone else, buy the new Eberron book instead "Rising from the Last War", which is virtually everything in this book and more.

Character Options: Talents (5e)
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Damian F. [Verified Purchaser]

Having now employed talents in my game for the last 2 and a bit months (First testing them in a special monthlong Halloween campaign and then transferring them retroactively to my main campaign), I have to say that I absolutely adore the concept. Talents are simple, yet effective, and make every character feel just that bit more different to each other.

I think my only problem is that even with as many talents as there are - plus the Feat-augmenting talents in the second book - there's just not enough for me to pick from! XD But don't take that as a serious problem. The ones available give me a more than suitable framework for inventing new Talents, including ones specifically for homebrew classes.

All in all, I strongly recommend this book, its sequel, and the Monstrous book for monster-players. I really look forward to a Talents 4, and hope for more subclass options, more playable race support, and maybe some more obscure ideas, like Fighting Style augmenting talents.

The Sorcerer Class, Revisited
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Damian F. [Verified Purchaser]

I personally really enjoy this version of the Sorcerer, and the Sorcerers in my campaign(s) have swapped over to it after I went over the basics. It's much simpler for them to manage thanks to the "Mana Pool"-esque Spell Point system, and feels more versatile. Having additional Metamagics learned also really changes things for them, since now they're able to feel like they bring something different to the table compared to the other casters. Especially the Wizard.

I'm rating this one quite highly as a result. I didn't realize that the Sorcerer could feel this distinct.
