There is nothing really wrong with this, there just isn't much to it. I would have loved to have seen much more information and detail on ecology, habitats, & especially the descriptions that it keeps encouraging us to use. Perhaps for the next offering, something this length but focused on just one of the three terrains? If you can get it on sale it is an OK value.

This guide is of an easily digestible size and provides some great ideas to liven up often overlooked terrain features in our adventures. It also includes suggestions for describing these areas to our players and includes some nice plot devices and NPCs. Very well done :-)

I liked this book for two reasons. First of all, if you think you know the various types of wetlands/forests/etc., this book might have one you have not heard of or thought of before. Second, I liked this book as a worldbuilder and gamemaster, because it offered quests and random encounter ideas for each type of terrain. I did wish it offered more random encounters and quests, with perhaps some quest tables for dice rolls. It was worth the small price of $3.99 on sale though.
