This has to be one of the defining OSR adventures, and deservedly so. Simple to grok, and a hell of a lot of fun to play. The fact that it's available for free means no nerd should go into DMing without it in their arsenal.

Simple, fast, and a great use for those dice cups I bought years ago because of Pirates of the Caribbean. It's quick to learn and quick to teach, and has enough variety to ensure that games don't always pan out the way you think they're going to.

Having now taken the time to read through the book fully, I can whole-heartedly recommend this to both new and experienced games masters alike. The Angry GM not only understands the fundamentals of roleplaying, but manages to explain them clearly and concisely. I read through the book and never once got bored with the tone, so despite it being a lot to chew on, it's certainly not dense.

For the price of a single film, I've gotten advice that I can use to make hundreds of hours of gaming better, and that's the kind of value you just can't beat.
