Sharn II, Council of Roaches

First and foremost, if you are planning to run an adventure in Sharn. Get Elven Tower's Sharn Maps, because they're the best quality maps of Sharn I've been able to find.

Additionally, there are a lot of great statblocks and battlemaps spread between these two adventures for anyone else out there that likes to collect good statblocks and battlemaps.

The first adventure in this series was a great look into the world of Eberron and the great city of Sharn and this adventure continues in that vein. I do want to stress that this adventure is set in the same City, but can be run entirely separate from the first adventure in the series. In this one, the City Council of Sharn is in danger of being taken over and coopted by some Mission Impossible Inspired Roach People... and that's just the beginning.

Even if you don't plan to run an Eberron game there is content in these two adventures worthy of ripping off for any Urban Set campaign/adventure you might imagine.

It's also a beautifully put together document, if aesthetics are important to you.

A full 1d100 table of trinkets with a chult and Tomb of Annhilation flavor is exactly what I need and this delivers it. I've already got quite a few ideas for adventure hooks that start with a few of these items. Definitely worth $1.

Character Options: Talents (5e)

I purchased this product because I do love giving my players extra character options and I was considering giving them free feats at level 4 but saw this and figured it might be a good alternative. I personally think that it's solid work, but there's a huge amount of talents that are either underpowered or overpowered with only about 1/4th of the options landing somewhere I would personally say are both balanced and interesting options for characters.

If talents are intended to be "lesser" feats these range from much weaker to much stronger in comparison to a lot of PHB feats and that huge swing in quality between talents is concerning for me. It's expecially concerning when it comes to recommending this product or not. If you have a pretty firm grip on the balance of 5e, particularly with feats and class features, I'd say you'd probably get good use out of this if you take the time to separate out the talents that are too strong or too weak and either change them so their balance is a little more in line with other talents, or just remove them altogether.

I think with a lot more work on the balance of these talents this product would be incredible, until then I'd be wary of implementing this if you're a new DM. However if you do like when your players are really powerful, this is a great product for you (so long as you can point out which ones might be a little too weak to pick up as is).

Thank you for the review, Debra. Since you've posted this I've already released three versions that addresses balance issues. Hopefully, I've satisfied some of your concerns and I hope you are still interested in the second book which comes out on the 15th! :)

This is a wonderfully put together little adventure. I've now run it twice with modifications. The first time I DM'd this for a single level 3 player, to show them the ropes. They had a blast and it helped pull them out of their shell when it came to RPing. We had great fun. The second time I ran this for a group of 4th levels. I modified the combat encounters to fit both sessions and things went very well. The players were engaged and had a fun. It's a short clean adventure that's easy to pick up, easy to set up, and easy to play. I highly recommend giving it a go.
