It was a fantastic adventure to run, I really liked how it gives a lot of freedom for the DM and the players. I have one regret though, it's it requires a bit of work to make it as good for a group of non pregenrated characters as it is for a group of pregens. I have 2 advices, one : don't use the d4 memory mecanic for every characters, try to find something that is a bit less repetitive especially since some informations are a bit the same between each character, and 2 : Use some kind of McGuffin in the final boss room to escape from Wheloon, it is really weird how the Purple Dragon Knight believe you withiut checking when they know shere they are. Some Item with an anitimagic field to pass through it are good if it's for a one shot, or a replica of the Purple knight Charm to go through the wall.

Except for this 2 little details, I still give it 5 stars because it is definitely an incredible experience for everybody, it is totally worth it !

Ran this for the first episode of a stream, Crit Test Dummies, I started with my friends. It was super well thought out, gave a lot of challenging combat for level 1-2 characters. It also had enough of the city sketched out that the players could explore how they wanted and I as a DM never felt caught off guard by their choices.

There's also variants for brand new DMs/Players that make a potentially sprawling city adventure pretty straitforward to run.

The only possible negatives were that it can run long depending on player/DM styles, and I would've appreciated a bit more description of the various duergar creatures as I've never run anything with them before.

Overall, a great little adventure and good introduction for new players and DMs alike.

This is definitely a memorable and exciting adventure which provides the DM with an amazing and unusual setting in which to entertain and challenge the players.

The various encounters, locations and NPCs give the DM plenty of flexibility to run a mini-sandbox adventure for the players to enjoy. Build a story by engaging the PCs into the setting and increase the tension leading up to the final encounter.

A highly recommended adventure for experienced DMs who like to weave a story for their players. One of my favourites.

I ran this at a convention for Adventure League play. There is some manipulation needed in the storyline to fit with brought in AL PC's. I ran it as is but used one of the pre-gens as a story driver to keep the story going for the AL group I had. Randomly picked the pre-gen memories to populate pregen and interleave the background story for the AL PC memory.

Hands down this is my new goto adventure for tier 1 and an intro adventure for new players. This adventure, in my opinion has equal amounts of the 3 pillars of play.

Great job Mr. Allan Patrick!
