Absolutely fantastic add-on to a Waterdeep: Dragon Heist game! It really added some city flavor and even some interesting NPCs and plot threads. It does take some improv & skill on the part of the DM, but I love it.

Super useful add on if you are running Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, or just a game in Waterdeep generally.

Definitely found its use in my game and has a lot of content, though for this price I kind of expected a bit more detail. A lot of the encounters still need either a DM used to improv (so not that great for new DMs to reference on the fly) or some extra preparation beforehand. S

AMAZING download!
I use this book every single time we play in Waterdeep! I run 4x tables a week and this book not only tells you great encounters, but breaks it down by what ward of the city you're in, as well as noting places that should stand out, like the Blackstaff's Tower. I highly recommend this well written, and valuable book. You can use it for any city, not just Waterdeep, and it'll easily translate.

I absolutely love this addition to the Waterdeep setting -- although it's terrific for any urban setting as well. Gives great ideas for adventures, encounters, and events within an urban setting and particularly within Waterdeep itself. Definitely worth it.

This is fantastic. First thing I've bought here at DM Guild and I'm delighted. Such a variety of encounters, and as a bonus, it said it was going to take 2 weeks to arrive and arrived 3 days later. Nice!

This supplement was by far my players' favorite part of Dragon Heist. A must have whenever you're moving around the City of Splendors.

I was expecting this to be a mediocre table of random statblock combats with hopfully a little variety thrown in every once in a while. What I got was chalk full of life and color and flavor. Most of the encounters dont seem to be combat oriented, lots of social and skill based challenges. Im not planning on using Waterdeep itself as my groups city, but these gems seem designed to be easily convertable to other settings. Very happy with this suplement.

It's an auto-include in your Waterdeep campaign, these tables will help bring the city to life as your table explores it.

Although this product was mostly developed as an expansion to Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, my players are going to be in the City of Splendors quite a lot as a hub for their adventures in Rise of Tiamat. Obviously Volo's Waterdeep Enchiridion is getting a lot of use, but having a book of random and location based encounters, keyed to different wards of the city, with weather options and more all goes a long way to getting across the vibrant, alive, and massive nature of Faerûn's most storied city. A must have for any DM running 5e adventures in Waterdeep.

I'm running Dragon Heist as my first campaign as a DM. Gave me so many ideas for how to foreshadow the main plot, introduce characters to the PCs, and just generally bring Waterdeep to life.

I'm using this in a Storm King's Thunder campaign to give Waterdeep some more depth.
As far as I can tell, this is unmissable for Dragon Heist, but it's also great to give the city of Waterdeep some more flavor in any campaign.

Must-buy for anybody running Waterdeep storyline. A lot of different encounters that will bring life to your portrayal of the City of Splendors. Some of them are connected and form quest chains, which is really amazing. Also, this book has nice weather tables depending on season which help with travelling.
