The nobles are a crazy an can lead to some fun roleplaying. At this point my party turned the loss of agency around and some characters started to treat the world with the indifference it deserves. Only personal danger matteres to the characters. The investigation runs very linear. The party moves from house to house until they are done. The final encounter is fun but not too difficult.

The puzzles are super fun and diversified. What really hurts is the arcane check after solving each puzzle. The party had no character with a high bonus so the DC was almost unbeatable. On the first try they missed it by one after rolling a 16 before modifiers. They almost quit doing the puzzles altogehter because it didn't matter anyways. I recommend putting in an NPC with guidance or straight up some arcana bonus in such situations. The final combat was okay but not very threatening against a high AC sentinel.

The time travel explanation is completely missing. Why are the players not changing the future while taking back items and in future adventures beeing remembered by the NPCs? The author did not tell us. I recommend treating it as traveling into a copy of the memory that was magically created. This should give a consistent answer to most questions. The interaction with the NPCs is enjoyable. Make sure to make it absolutely clear to the players that their goal is only researching about the ring if you don't run the optional parts. Otherwise they might concentrate on saving the other guests too much.

The investigation part is very fun if the players are into some roleplaying. If you reward them generously with information they can skip a trip back to the start. The final encounter is challenging especially if you don't run the optional part to get some extra help for the party. Somehow the gun is a melee attack in the statblock. Probably this was made to avoid disadvantage in melee but this had the awkward effect that one player would have been punished for dropping on the floor. I recommend treating it differently.

Overall an enjoyable dungeon crawler. The combat is not that challenging if players act strategically. Even the last part that is supposed to be very hard just takes forever if a character with high AC blocks the way. The BBEG had to step in or it would have taken forever. It is very unclear how to convince a party, that slew a bunch of monsters along the way, to let their obvious master live. I suggest having the BBEG mention that he is a citizen of Waterdeep and protected by the law.

A fun scavenger hunt if you can hook the party somehow. The starts a little rough, as the characters get little reason to follow the map. You should try to convince them that great treasures await them at the location marked by the X. Maybe start the adventure with the party winning the map. The word riddle can be solved without the second hint, but the players can only guess if they can skip to the end. I like that the means for dealing with the final encounter are provided along the way. We did the optional part with the ring and the traproom was fun but not challenging.

A fun szenario for a group of level 1 characters. I preselected the traitor villain because my players like roleplaying their characters a lot. My players loved the crash in szene 1 and I highly recommend describing it as colorful as you can! I tried to increase the surprise by interrupting a player mid-sentence during their conversation with the interesting character.

Scene 2 when smoothly and the players enjoyed the sometimes unfitting "Performance Hints". Each character had a lot of screen time because they were only 3.

In scene 3 the small party got destroyed by the enemies and I had to let NPCs from previous scenes interrupt their slaughter. The balancing for small groups of level 1s is a little rough and it would be nice to have some options presented in the adventure.
