Lots of page flipping, seems to be a season 8 trend. Fun mod to run, prep the heck out of it. Some fun RP opportunities. Overall a decent conclusion to the trilogy.

Season 8 module....give yourself extra prep time.

Combats can be rough on a tier one party.

Was pretty fun to run overall, playing the main bad guy was a blast.

There are a few typos, so take notes where needed and did I mention take extra prep time?

It seems like the season 8 modules, thus far are written far closer to hardcover adventrues than previous modules. Like many have pointed out, there is very little blocked text, so you really have to read through and prep throroughly.

I couldn't get the group to bite on bonus objective A so skipped bonus B to keep it to 2 hours, but the module took close to 3 anyway. I think this was mostly due to the group overthinking things.

Several of the players said they enjoyed a module not being all about combat, so that was neat.

I think it would have been a bit better if I'd spent more time prepping, just not used to having to do that with modules.

I was really nervous running this the first time because of all the on the fly improv involved but it turned out fantastic. I certainly had a blast running it and my players seemed to enjoy it.

Before running I'd read through the module as much as you need, give yourself plenty of prep time because there are some variables. If you're in a crunch pick a path that you think your party will enjoy and leave the choices out of it. If you run the module as written be prepared to think outside the box and be creative.

Nice package of short adventures, nothing too fancy. Not bad for getting new players warmed up. I don't think there's anything too complex or hard here and just reading through the modules once should be enough for even new DMs to not have a difficult time.

If you're running the ToA hardcover I think all of the tier 1 modules can be weaved in and help create a really strong narative for the rest of the campaign. Great for introducing the PCs to important NPCs and learning the layout of the Port.

More experienced players may find the modules a bit boring and unrewarding. They are only one hour mods so the exp/items department is hurting.
