Ignoring issues that seem to be imposed by the new formatting style such as the lack of box text, layout that splashes information in different parts of the page that I don’t find logical and the ink killing nature of art that have already been raised repeatedly, I think this was the best adventure of this trilogy, but only slightly above average overall (would give 3.5 stars if I could).
If you haven't already played the prior module in the series then the start is very heavy handed. I can't say I am a fan of the trilogy style official AL mods have adapted, I would much prefer mods that stand on their own but that linked in a bigger story or backdrop like we had in season 5. They way official mods are written now it's so jarring jumping in without the previous adventures as context.
The investigation itself is quite fun but is very reliant on the party finding that they need to find a woman with bright red hair (there can only be one of those in one of the biggest cities on the Sword Coat right?) and there is trouble on the intersection of Fish and Ship Street. There are good RP opportunities and the complications can add a bit of colour to spice things up and allow you to drop in hints that the party may have missed.
The bonus objectives fit in better than they did in the previous two mods in the trilogy, instead of being vestigial, the one where you go look at the smuggling operation in the sewer actually feels like cut semi-essential content, as if this was written in as part of the adventure and then cut to bonus objective. I much prefer that to the ‘do this random side thing’ that I thought were ¾ of the bonus objectives in the previous 2 mods. I'm not quite sure how the one where you go around getting help from people in the dock ward is supposed to work organically, in the end I just had to place breadcrumbs around and hope the players would follow them. I literally placed the Dungsweepers in their path and hoped they would help and who is EVER going to think to ask the Red Sashes?
Minor issue but the map of the Ship's Prow isn't consistent in labelling. It starts of on the 'Ground Floor' (in the UK style) and then switched to '2nd Floor' (in the US style) for the next floor up.
