An enjoyable adventure that evokes the feel of old-school D&D while doing a lot of innovative things and making use of the polish and flow of 5th edition. An example of this is the maze that features in this module. Without spoiling anything, let me tell you that it is a great way to package a labyrinth crawl and do something new and fun at the table. It's all done in an uncomplicated way that keeps it simple for the DM and players and wouldn't faze you even if you are new to D&D. The production values are great, with a hand drawn map and a clear, simple layout and nice, readable fonts, all polished by some great editing. The narrative flows well and maintains the overall feel and excitement throughout and the real-world references keep the story pretty well grounded for a fantasy tale and help the suspension of disbelief and lets the DM & players get more into the story.
Overall, this is a solid adventure.
