The artwork is artwork but they are all B&W so if you only like color this isn't for you. Some parents might want to sensor this one for the kids. It should have a warning to parents for younger children about bare chested art. The art is good for the most part.

DISLIKED: The fact that is does not state it is B&W and you have no way of knowing until you buy it.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
I did not like it as much as I likes Tomb of Horrors 1 because Tomb of Horrors 1 gives you all creatures that disappeared in the 3rd edition set. It is good with the same quality as in Tomb of horrors I but fewer monsters and most (maybe all) of them new. Some a little weird and not sure I would ever use - but that can be said for all the creature books in any system.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
These are the missing creatures from AD&D. Now you don't need to sit there for hours while trying to figure a conversion for those first edition modules and creatures to 3rd edition. You can look them up.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
The artifacts are ok, the artwork is good. But the overall feeling of getting your money's worth is totally lost. If you want a few weapons that have some positive potential all with draw backs and penalties then this is what you want.

DISLIKED: The price for the content leaves a lot to be desired.

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Disappointed
Unlike the cover the portraits are black and white. I did not see anything that said they were not color. I take the middle road on recommendation and be a druid.

DISLIKED: The color. I would like to have know before hand that the art was not color.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
It is small but definitely worth while. Need a quick story and map? This is it. You can run this on the fly with only a few minutes prep. Of course how long it takes to go through with the players is always a question of how extreme they are - so the potential for a couple hours of play is here.
I have several of these they have all been the same quality and presentation. It is more likely to be used as a quick random adventure encounter (especially since that appears to be what it is for).

LIKED: Everything

DISLIKED: The fact that I have never seen it in a store.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Good artwork. Useful maps and information. Stats included on the ship. Good enough that I am using this as a base ship for a campiagn.

LIKED: That the jpegs were included so you can print the full ship out if you have a large printer.

DISLIKED: The layout was typical of rpg - no enough thought went into what really gets put on board a ship. And there is a lot more free space on the ship than what would be realistic for a military vessel. (Its a question of realism) But it is still a very good item.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
