I love reading about Variant Rules for D&D 5e even if just to spark ideas for my home games, and I love that this explains why the rule should be used.

Good colection of rules. I am using a nice selection of them in my game now and my players enjoy them

My score reflects the usefulness and the construction (layout, organization, and so on) of the manual here. This is a fantastic book that, as a PWYW title, everyone should grab. That's not to say every variant rule will see use at every table, but the way the author describes the variant, and then reasons why you'd use it or not use it, is an excellent way to put these ideas to paper.

Nice compendium of options (there are even more that could be added such as grid-based ability score generation or the Dr. Who version of Initiative, but I'm sure such options are nearly endless). It does need some editing as there are many spelling errors, buit I was very happy to have this as an inexpensive resource to page through and think about.
