If you are reading this you are probably already considering purchasing this. If that is the case, just do it. I don't use this book constantly through my rpg playthroughs, but I do reference consistently and often enough that I have certainly received my money's worth. When I do use it, I am always happy I did. This book's strength is the ability to add great flavor to the moments of an adventure that would otherwise be bland and skippable. If you feel like you want your adventures and travels to be more interesting, this book is for you. If you want there to be more unqiue rp-able moments in the downtime of your adventure and travels, this book is for you.\ Like I said, if you are the type of person already considering this, then it is a good purchase. It's exactly what you think it is. And it does exactly what you are hoping it will.

While I do own Dungeon World (which this is a supplement for), I have never played it. Regardless, I have found numerous uses for Perilous Wilds. The tables within are so useful for coming up with inspiration when I am dming a group. They are even more useful when I am playing solo. If you own Ironsworn this book can be a great way to give some flavor and additional excitement to your expeditions through the wilderness (If Ironsworn has one weakness, it is the lack of wilderness related tables/lack of depth in the wilderness related tables. This book fills that gap for me).

If you are reading this and own Ironsworn. BUY DELVE. It only improves Ironsworn-in ways far beyond I would have expected. If you are reading this and don't own Ironsworn-go try Ironsworn. It is free. After you fall in love with that game. You will, come back to BUY DELVE. Not only will you not be dissapointed, but it is a great way to support the free Ironsworn system.

At the $12.50 price point Delve is worth buying just for the oracles and tables within. You don't even need to be playing Ironsworn to get use out of a lot of the content in this book.

I can't say enough about how great this game is. Shawn Tomkin is a true master of the ttrpg craft (especially gmless). Ironsworn is so well done that I think we will look at it as the grandfather of all great dmless ttrpgs in the future. After playing Ironsworn I was unsure how it could even be improved upon (until I played Starforged, the sci-fi spiritual successor of Ironsworn). The rulebook can seem daunting at first glance, but it is a very easy read, and the rules are far more simple than they may appear. Most of the book is dice tables/oracles, good rpg advice, and further rules clarification for those who need it/come across a unique situation. The actual rules are quick to read. Ironsworn is as much a guidebook to good ttrping/storytelling as it is a rules system. This is the next evolution of PbtA. If you're a PbtA fan-must buy. If you're not, still check it out.

Great game! I hesitated about the price for what I thought I was getting, but it was definitely worth it. I've only played through once, but it has been on my mind for a follow-up playthrough later on (just want to give myself enough time between play throughs to appreciate the variety-AKA don't want my first playthrough influences my imagining of the second). I definitely recommend using a block tower. I haven't played without one so I can't compare, but imo the tension brought on by the block tower and watching it become more and more precarious as you go really drives the feeling of the game home. 5 star game with the block tower, but I'm not sure I would recommend it without one.
