I can't say enough good things about the Arion paper figures. The artwork is glorious, and the inclusion of bi-fold and tri-old figures is a great plus. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. A stellar effort, which is all I'd ever expect from Arion Games.

Good variety of Norman minis which can easily be reproduced into a sufficient number of minis to be used. Great price.

This is a great set. The images are excellent. As a wargamer, what I particularly like is that all arms are represented (infantry, cavalry, missle), so I would rank it above the Crusader I and Saxon sets (which lack archers) and the Viking set (which lacks archers and cavalry. Though I suppose the vikings did not fight on horseback...). Other good sets in this regard are Saracens and Crusaders II. Saracens and this Norman set also contain additional characters for RPG.

I would like to recommend to the publishers that, for wargaming, all relevant troop types be represented by at least one figure. Typically this is light and heavy infantry, light and heavy cavalry, and missle troops. A good resource is www.dbaol.com/armies.htm.
