Nice, simple, clearly explained, gameable scenarios that can be easily dropped in to any campaign. A bit wordy is the only complaint.

Does an excellent job at what it is described to do. a lot of fun for Dungeon Masters that are weary of their player's whining.

Great resource and great role playing potential. Having put Love Is Forever, Polymorph Is Not into my main campaign the "pet" is now part of my campaign and has given a mission to the players. Fun twists and great resource.

Great resource for a twist on gettng a pet. It was fun decieving my party into getting a peryton egg with them thinking it was a griffon egg. The fight with the mama peryton was fun, but now they want to raise it. I know perytons eat living hearts, so this might be a bit difficult for them. I imagine one day they will want to feast on humanoid hearts and turn on the party. It should make for a dramatic moment. However, I'm a bit worried about the details of raising it. Do perytons eat anything other than hearts? Do they have to be fresh or can they be salted and stored? What about temperment? Do perytons form attachments to the first thing they see, like birds? When does it reach maturity? What about mating? Do they even have genders? So many questions.

If you love sneaking something else into the party, this has some great ideas. I like the role reversal, and I've trained my party to expect a managerie, if only so I can keep them moving thru slow spots. They would pick up a puppy in a heart beat

Gives some great ideas for curbing your players desires to have pets in game.

This collection of encounters centers on animals and magical creatures. Each encounter offers a couple of options for twists and fun roleplay. Also included in this booklet are several stat blocks for young versions of creatures, which can serve as a nice addition to any campaign's bestiary. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
