I enjoy getting into modern d&d. The rules are a little fiddly but its fun getting a heavy weapon, calling it bertha and making your own doors with it.

I am a DM, and one of the things I feel a DM needs to be prepared with is pregen characters incase the worst happens, a character bites the big one and is no more. I tell my players to have back up characters but in the event they do not, or a new player walks in and has not made a character they have the option to pick one of these now. I may never use these but I think they are still essential just in case. Thank you

I DM a West Marches style game on Roll20, it is in the building stage and we have had a few test games. So I use DMs Guild to find one shot games that I can populate my DM tome with. I found this and was interested in the content. I decided to use it as a base for a new location in my game. I had to modify it to fit my world but it essentially filled in more lore and now when we get up and running, and people are DMing their own games either on Roll20 or at an actual table, Greger's Grotto might figure as a major attraction and even possibly a base for many players. Thank you to the creator for doing the hard work of creating this so people like me can use it as a resource. Keep coming out with stuff. I enjoy your work.

This is exceptional... For a PDF version, the artwork does not suffer, and of course the creatures are great. I use Roll20 and I am able to build my own bestiary in that program by simply copying and pasting, which my players are not happy about because none of them HAVE this book, so no one knows what I am throwing that them. Glass Gator? HA! You don't know. I look forward to using this with glee. Great price great content. Thank you to the creators and Thanks to Dungeon Master's guild.

This gives me a lot of help with the West Marches game I am developing for my group. Coming up with encounters is fun but it is also time consuming. This gives me a helping hand and I can easily incorporate it into our world.

As a DM I am tasked to interact with my players in ways other than dropping rocks on their characters and hitting them with crazy monsters who want nothing better than to eat their souls. I need to roleplay with them. I enjoy doing that however it becomes difficult to keep things fresh. Items for Social Encounters not only gives interesting items for the players it sparks in me new ideas for merchants, sneaky thief types and a myriad of other NPCs that either have these items or have info of these items.
So for me not only is it a neat treasure trove it’s a roleplay inspiration.
I recommend.
