I inserted this into my single player Dragon Heist game as an opportunity to have some 'guest' players join the campaign for a bit. The options for the different culprits were really fun and the module provided lots of great information. It took my group a while to complete, probably upwards of ten hours, but it would most likely be quicker with a more experienced and focused group. My friends and I have played murder mysteries in a box at parties before, so they got a kick out of doing it during a D&D game!

Ran this as a first adventure with a group of friends from high school and it was a hit! We all had different levels of experience with D&D, but it was easy to get into. We did it all in about five hours, but I did end up cutting out most of the basement to make time. I made copies of the handouts on parchment paper, burning the edges for some added immersion. Though it was supposed to be a one off, I ended up sending the PCs into Barovia next.
