A sourcebook dedicated for the Second Edition of Vampire the Requiem. Like many of the other books in this series it updates many older bloodlines from 1e to 2e.

We have used it and the other books in this series in many of our VtR games and they have brought us many useful tools that have lead to hours of fun and entainment.

A very good sourcebook for players and storytellers alike.

Bloodline - Uyosiha

The Bloodline presented in this supplement is an interesting one, I really like the concept behind their creation despite a lineage connected by rumours to the Lhiannan or to Clan Gangrel. Their connection to the Wendigo and the Spirits works well, but I feel that they work better in Chronicles that use Lupines instead of blending VtM with the WtA line. The writeup for the line is good, but I think it needs to develop the bloodline relationships with the bigger WoD and give us reasons to move them from the places where the tales of the Wendigo originated.

Rules wise the Bloodline suffer from a very complicated weakness that is worse that the Nagaraja one and a Discipline and RItuals that despite being very good in terms of the theme of the lineage take a great toll upon the Kindred. The wording of some rules is a bit clunky (mostly and issue of translation I think) and might need some clarifications of the effects on some of the rituals with the changes brought up by the Manitou discipline (Example: If I take the 3rd Dot of Manitou as Olfactory Synesthesia can I still use the ritual Wisdom of the Cuckoo? or I lose access to its benefits?)

In general I really liked this supplement but much like other bloodlines this one might work better as mysterious antagonists and Npcs instead of PCs but I can see the potential of playing a member of this line with some work and ST approval.

Good afternoon and thanks for taking the time to post your review :) With that said, let's get down to business. +Regarding your first paragraph: Yes, when I created them I had two main uses in mind. In the first place, and as for the Elders (Country) of the bloodline, quite advanced chronicles (in which enemies of great power, such as werewolves, had already appeared) and that they were used both as allies / antagonists for the characters of the players. As you say, the Country Uyosiha need a reason to move from their ancestral places... that's where the issue of making Childe and the City Uyosiha comes in. The former will not be able to stay long in these places and must look for their own future in the cities on their shoulders or in other wild areas while the City Uyosiha already coexists with humanity... in both cases, they are weaker than the Elders and it is good points to start a story :) +As for your second paragraph: Yes, the weakness of the bloodline is much more complex than the Nagaraja but I don't think it is "worse", since they can eat meat in any state of putrefaction (hello, cemeteries), the heart of the victims gives them great benefits, etc. Mhn, sorry to hear about the deficiencies in the translation. As you have said, both I and the translator are Spanish xD If you see it as a serious problem and that it should be changed, we would greatly appreciate a list about it and we would change it :) As for your question about "Olfactory Synesthesia", you forcely get the flaw "Mute" as part of said power... therefore, you would acquire all the benefits of the Ritual except the ability to imitate the victim's voice and way of speaking. Finally, I thank you for your words and time invested :) In a while we will bring out another bloodline, linked to the figure of Narcissus in classical culture.

The story follows after the events of the previous entries on the series. One of the scenes is an interesting take on the perils an awakened might encounter on the mundane world and how to tackle them with the added bonus of showing how the protagonists views Paradox. The next part of the story is a fountain of inspiration for Storytelllers that might want to use the Digital Web and the perils inside it in their chronicles and how to use the contacts and allies of a character to advance a Chronicle. The final part part of the tale deals with problems that arise in the real world while our protagonist was in the Digital Web, with good action and a some examples of interactions with Technocratic Agents and Paradox Backlash.

We really liked the writing style specially the interactions between characters and the minor references to other aspects to the WoD, while getting some really good ideas to add to a Chronicle as a bonus.

The final part are the rules for the devices, rotes, etc. that appear in the story. This ones are very simple and of great use and can be adapted to other paradigms with little work.

PDF/Layout Information: •Page Count: 29 (6 Devoted to Front/Back Cover, Table of Contents, an advert page to other products, and the OGL): Leaves us with 23 pages of content, 22 if you exclude the "What is this product" page. •The pages adhere to a clean, simple, two column layout for ease of readability and to include imagery of either the deity's chosen weapon or their holy symbol. Personally I would have been happier if all of them were of the holy symbol as imagery of weapons are abundant in other products but we recognize how it might be tricky to confine to page space with some of them.

The Content: The opening blurb on 'What is 'Cities of Sundara' helps properly manage your expectations on vibe and tone of the setting of this product line. we can't help but think, however, this should have been a tweaked one for this specific product instead of one that feels like for a city or setting book.

We like the concept of the 'Prim' introduced here as a in-between plane of energy, although from a cosmological standpoint we wish they gave us just a little more on how that lays out in relation to the other 'in-between' planes that exist by default (Astral, Ethereal, Demiplanes, etc).

The note of carving out of alignment in the "No Angels, No Devils, and No Alignments" section as an expectation is an important one mechanically for the Pathfinder version of this document to remind people but is less mechanically important for the 5e version. As such, we think this could have been cut from the 5e product, or both could have been combined into one product.

When we start reading about deities specifically, their faces (different aspects of the same deity), their pillars (universal tenants across all aspects), their divine realm, omens, and blessings we are excited. But then we see things in the Domain section such as "Tempest" and "War" for Charne. This is fine and dandy for the D&D 5e version of the product, but for the Pathfinder 1e version? What's a Tempest Domain? Where are the subdomains, which all but the most minor/esoteric of deities have, or were introduced at the tail end of the production cycle. This isn't a hiccup in just Charne, but each of the 10 deities in this book.

The new Race: Prim-Touched We like the concept as it's listed in both versions of this book. It feels sort of like a "Build Your Own Aasimar" for PF1e, and falls in line with some of the later production cycle racial adjustments for 5e. This fills the void of the plane-touched races from the 'No Angels' section. Something they confirm with the "Customizing Your Prim-Touched" entry. The only minor quibble we have is calling it a "Species", mostly because "Race" in this context is a Mechanical Term, and changing mechanical term for seemingly no reason always a feels bad moment.

Conclusion: We want to like this product, either version, as there are some interesting concepts introduced here..but there are too many hiccups for us to rate this higher than a 3/5 for this product.

If they spent more time actually tailoring the book for the two systems instead of a quick copy-paste and only tweaked the race, we think they could have had two 4/5 or 5/5 products, or if they took the approach of a combined document with extra notes for both PF1e and D&D 5e as to what the mechanics were, you might devote two whole pages to each deity instead of 1.X but could still have the design space for fixing the mechanical hiccups.

Kithbook: Dullahan

Date Added: 10/12/2022 15:03:31

The Kith that appears in this sourcebook is a great option to use in a Chronicle, either as PCs or as SPCs. The overall feel and themes of the Kith are appropiate for the WoD, and fit nicely alongside the Kiths from the Corebook, the book gives several options and lore reasons for the Kith to interact with Changeling Society and Prodigals so it can be used in mixed Chronicles. The book also gives us the writeup for the Thallain Nuckelavee, I love the idea that Dullahan can be corrrupted into becoming Nuckelavee if they fall from their path. The second chapter describes Fae Steeds,Fae Hounds and Phantom Vehicles (with rules for building custom Vehicles). The variety of breeds for Steeds and Hounds is great and the powers available for Vehicles look awesome. Lacks rules for mounted combat, horse drawn vehicles and jousting, but those are in “Paved with Good Intentions”. The last chapter presents Dullahan of Renown, the Wilde Hunt as an organization (with requisites for joining, rites, boon and ban), new merits/flaws and five premade characters. The famous memebers of the Kith serve well to integrate it to the wider Changeling society and the Wilde Hunt provides several plothooks for players.

100 Nockers for Changeling: the Dreaming

Date Added: 08/23/2022 16:28:36

If you've been following this author's content prior, there is nothing new here. For the low-low-price of $1.99 you're getting a collection of 100 Character blurbs. If not, after picking this up for all your Nocker needs, you should consider picking up the rest from this writer's catalogue.

While when reading these I /personally/ found less blurbs I wanted to run as NPCs for a chronicle, but between myself and my table we came to the conclusion that we now need to play an all Nocker playgroup as the players fell in love with the ideas of Adriana Moore, Brittany Adkins, Dominik Koch, Frances Parker, and Jessica Armstrong. So now I am scrambling to throw together a new short CtD chronicle. ....perhaps leaning on the recluse Evie Thompson and Eric Beckermann as my two key focal points. Each of these knockers does properly capture the spirit and tone of the Kith and can probably find a home in /any/ chronicle.

The writing is still the tops and worth a look, even if you don't think you need that many knockers at any given time. There are a couple of typos or grammatical errors so I cannot call this product flawless, but even the small hiccups are easily brushed past. I would call this a 4.5 on a personal level but round up to 5 stars for the purpose of this platform

This product does a great job tying the world of Wraith to the world of Vampire. This is a great idea and we absolutely love it. As a one shot with some premade sheets this is a fun introduction to Changeling. As a "oh I don't know what you're doing" slam together in an already established chronicle? It'd take a little doing but it could probably fit in any story.

We personally think this might fit a little better with the more obvious whimsy coat of paint in Changeling the Dreaming but is written in such a fashion it could fit in either game perfectly.

We hope there are more short story arcs like this soon, as the idea of more light hearted but still on brand pallet cleanser stories are a market that definitely needs the love.

This has become one of our go to "teaching" plot hooks to use for younger audiences.
