Ran this adventure for my first ever time DMing and was excellent! The layout and way infofrmation was given made it really easy for me to memorise and reference when I needed. The story itself was lots of fun (though I made slight modifications) and my players all said they really enjoyed it~ Definitely reccomend :)

A Night of Masks and Monsters is a romp through a Venician city called Ibrido, joining a masquerade ball to uncover a secret war between two otherworldly factions. This is a great adventure to pull out if your players express a desire to use such a setting as a backdrop. The core magical items were very interesting for the party I ran this for. This scenario could be run in a single 4-hour session, but that would mean either rushing through the content or playing with three or fewer players; as a result, expect this to run for about 2-3 sessions, depending on your players.

With transparency, I tried running this as a side adventure to my main campaign from The Dragon of Icespire Peak, and while it was a relatively fun breath of fresh air, it felt a little jarring and out of place to run it that way. Be prepared to make revisions as needed to make it fit, or run it as a either a full campaign or a prequel to a campaign where the factions present can have a more lasting presence.

The layout and artwork for this product are very nice. Very solid design.

Ran this for my husband over Valentine's weekend as part of an engagement party for two of our characters, and it was great fun. We still play Marquis's Cup on character downtime.

Ran this with nine(!) players and things went very well. I definitely should've scaled the bosses up a bit, but live and learn. The formatting is a little confusing, but overall was I very pleased with the module and my players had a lot of fun. If you have Nix Hydra's Arcana tarot deck, I highly recommend assigning masks with the major arcana cards.

This is my go-to starter campaign for anyone just entering the world of D&D. It's easy to play, great story and the entire world of "A Requiem of Wings" is just incredible. If your party is very inquisitive then you may take a bit longer as they may go through each NPC to interact with. But it's a great way to start side quests! Also, scaling this to a higher level party is very simple and you just need to buff up a few NPCs and Baddies.

I've ran this adventure for three different groups, and they've all had vastly different yet equally enjoyable experiences. There's a heavy focus on the social pillar and the atmosphere and tone written into the module are fantastic for that (which was on-point for two of the groups), but the sections focused on exploration and combat are still very engaging and well connected to the rest of the adventure. Note - The final encounter can be quite challenging for those still learning 5e mechanics. I'd recommend following the module's suggestion of prepping Eya Harisa (or another NPC the party particularly enjoyed) as an ally to support the party if needed.

I played this game with a group of friends online. They got so sidetracked that it took them three sessions- with the middle session just two of them flirting with NPCs because the other party members had things come up last minute. They highly enjoyed it.

I ran this at a library program for teens as the final game. It was the last day, and I earned a TPK. The kiddos LOVED this. The masks gave them all different things to think about on how it changed their characters and play style.

I ran the game for my family during christmas, ages 25-65. First time playing DnD - took 4 hours - Massive success. They loved the story, atmosphere, enemies and feel. Made 3rd level characters for them in fastcharacter.com website based on their class choices in advance. They were able to find the laboratory and everything.

Changed the swords in Prosperos room to silvered. worked great.

Ran this for my players who were pretty unfamiliar with DnD. They met the Marquis and promptly used spells to make a loud, smelly fart noise happen right behind him and yell out to all of the party guests that the Marquis farted. I think they picked up exactly how DnD works

My playing group so far has only done one-shots, and always seems eager for more of a story versus straight up dungeon crawl and treasure. We Very much enjoyed this little chapter adventure. The players are super-stokedabout being able to eventually partake in the beginnings of a conflict much higher than their currrent level can handle, but learning more of a backstory of the Deva and Cambion. They are so excited to be part of a bigger story! Great "hook" and a neat little one-shot to introduce players to a deeper level of RPG.

I loved this story and so did my players!! Plus, it comes with soooo many details and ways of making he story and experience so much more immersive :) They looooved the little printouts

However, theye ended up gettin so sidetracked and we had a l¡time limit for our session so they didn't really explore much haahha but overall, a great story! I've purchased other stories by this writer and they're all very good and detailed. I will be DMing "Sleepping Giant Mountain" next :)

My players and I loved this campaign and will be playing the sequel for sure. Everything from the masks and their mechanics to the roleplay possiblities thanks to the festivities written to the villain, it was all great fun. Very creative and fun writer.

SO much fun. I played around a bit with the mask mechanic and made the "Lab/Kitchen" area full of potions my players could use. Loved the villain, loved the playfulness.
