'The Giovanni Chronicles' does offer what the cover boasts - a mature game. There are a range of issues that are dealt with in this title that might not suit everyone's tastes, so I'd strongly recommend a lot of planning by a storyteller and using it with a group that you know well. The vignettes are extremely well-devised, the NPCs engaging and thought-provoking and the basic plot allows characters to be a part of Cainite history, whilst also being a strong story. Make sure that you buy this well in advance of running it, though - you need to seriously think about how you're going to use this, how you'll portray this many NPCs in a memorable way and how you'll approach the 'mature' concepts in the book too.

If you do, it will offer probably one of the best roleplaying experiences of any system.

Note: The content missing mentioned by the previous reviewer can be found as an addendum to the first edition of Clanbook: Settite (the one with the female vampire with the red-lensed glasses).

The product itself is great! I would certainly rate it on a higher Maturity basis than E, since this is really a game about medieval horror, but that was the thing needed in the World of Darkness: something not very nice <evil grin>.

One bad thing about this product: the Numeration on the Pages is continuous, but still there is one Page of content missing between Pages 45 and 46. The adventure is still playable, since this page happens to have 'only' background information on it, but this is a real let-down, if you needed to know more about the specific Clan described there.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Satisfied
This is by FAR the best adventure ever written for Vampire: The Masquerade. I first played this adventure among 12 players, and then ran it myself with 12 other players, and it was an absolute blast in both instances. The first part of the Last Supper is sort of a "huis clos", where characters just play out a situation taking place in a single-room (here, a dinner). Then, the second part of the adventure is more like a glass-shattering revelation about the universe of VtM where the PCs get to meet no less than two Antediluvians! The circumstances are particular, to say the least... fans of the game will have their jaw drop to the floor. Awesome. Everyone I know who played the Last Supper found it outstanding. WARNING: the Game Master should be familiar with event-driven plots and feel alright when running 12 NPCs at a time. This may not be easy for everyone.
