The balance of the combat was interesting and challenging, though there was very little goal-driven social interaction or exploration. Also, the conclusion of the module seemed slightly contrived. It felt deceptive to run the final combat and conclude it with "the 2 npcs have vanished" or "The enemies took undeclared actions to steal the macguffin, none of you noticed."
It makes sense as a setup for the final part of the trilogy, but it would be nice if there were more well-explained (or contrived) ways that the enemies were able to abscond with the item.
All in all, a fun module with a slightly contrived conclusion. The twist in the first combat was definitely unexpected by the party and was an exciting challenge for even the most combat-built characters. The combats definitely caused the module to run closer to 4 hours, as it is tier 3 and especially considering the high number of combatants in the final combat.
