This is crazy useful! It details and explains the mechanics of SWADE Core Summon Ally, then goes to break it down to allow GMs and players to easily make their own allies, plus providing additional Edges and Hindrances for summon-centric characters. Examples of new allies of all Ranks, and sample characters from Seasoned to Legendary make it a great quick reference and help at the table. The examples and sample characters touch multiple genres, from Fantasy and Horror over Modern to SciFi. Design choices are explained to help DIY GMs understand the process even better. After getting this, summoning will never be the same at your tables.

This product should not be free! Ok, let me explain that. This is a full-blown setting book. While it doesn't bring the page-count of other settings, it doesn't need to! This is a 114-page love-letter to the idea of Goblins being more than cannon-fodder for Novice characters to hack up so they can gain some XP and finally get to the cool enemies. It's released under the fan license, but Richard put in work worthy of a licensee project. The tradedress alone rivals some licensed products out there, and the content has been honed and playtested over years in home and convention games.

So what do you get? Everything to play anything from a fun one-shot to a full blown campaign. The background provided in Saga of the Goblin Horde is flexible enough to fit into most established and/or homebrewed fantasy settings. Or you can just use the PPC adventures as one-shot games (beware, your players might want more, so start with Dungeon Squat! It comes with handouts in the book!). If you choose to run the whole PPC, you are provided with either amazing pregenerated characters, or fleshed out character creation rules. There are 10 PPC adventures written out, and on top of that you get an Adventure Generator to fill the gaps between those! There's also a bestiary, providing ample opposition (supplied with full colour artwork!).

And if playing as Goblins isn't your thing, you can always download this and use it to really give the PCs a run for their money the next time they encounter a goblin tribe!
