I love the old Spelljammer stuff and this is just the tonic for a great mixer. This is pretty much everything I wanted for a Savage Worlds version of that crazy setting. A lot of care an attention went into making the setting it's own thing, and that makes it that much better.
I would love a POD

Very Unique Setting. My imagination is sparked whenever I open the book.

A fantastic example of low fantasy goodness. Just don't take the anthropomorphic out of it. A lot of good work went into making it seamless and fun, so don't skip it. I can easily use this for any sort of fantasy adventure that I can come up with. I may have to use it for Savage Dolmenwood (a nifty OSR Old School Essentials campaign setting). Great takes on ABs. Great integration with the recent Companions. Just a rock solid book all around.
But you know, if I could make this a basis for a Spelljammer campaign, that would be awesome

Not only a fine adventure in its own right, but a great invesigatory framework to use for future stories. It's a real challenge to do these sorts of micro-settings that can fit everywhere, but these guys rise to that opportuniyt. I might have wanted a few more bits and bobs; maybe a Professional Edge or two for Arcane using guards or somesuch. But who am i to complete. Great product. And thanks to Jan for making my copy of the pdf to happen

Thank you for your kind words! Regarding those Arcane using guards and Professional Edges... wait and see :-) The setting will be expanded in future adventures. I do not promise it will be in the second one, but by the third one it is almost a certainity ;-)

This is hands down one of the best "Monsters are the PCs" games out there. Never will I be content to play a single goblin ever again, not when I can have my own horde of the fierce little sh*ts.
Also, fungus= psionics FTW! Woot!

Sean has a touch when it comes to filing off the serial numbers. Someone should grab him quick, maybe get him in a heist film. I mean look at this. LOOK AT IT! If you're the average Savage Worlds fan then THIS IS IN YOUR WHEEL HOUSE. You can even get it for free and it takes like five minutes to read. But you're not going to do that. You're going to chip in and read it like five times, and then it's going into rotation on game night. I think the best part of this entire shebang is that the arrow is pointing in the right direction from the start. We all know what the riff is, but Sean does is own thing with it.

LegionLegionLegionLegion I am only a quarter of the way into the PPC, and after scanning the rest, I can tell this one is both diverse and robust. Lots of history, lots of chances for the PCs to move history. I can't wait to read the rest. Excellent work Happy Monster Press. Kudos to the Marchands for a great book.

Savage Worlds is a fantastic system with tons of hidden layers waiting to be discovered. It's easy to start "straight out of the box" with a breezy character creation system, but it sometimes lacks a bit of "punch" in the depth department. The Savagely Useful stuff suits that missing link to a tee, with some nice depth and just the right amount of hook for the style of tropes fantasy settings trade in. It's neither under nor over-powered and is perfect for beginners or long-time players/GMs.

The book follows the Rule of Cool all the way. If they would have made it following just the Core Rules of Savage Worlds, they would have had a winner on their hands; the writing is excellent, the time-line is inspired, and the punk ethos, as presented, of steampunk is more than ready to club you over the head and steal your girlfriend.
But, being a translation of the Wild Talents RPG, this game is built on the Super Power's Companion. And that, my friends, makes this game, made of addicting awesome.
Rule of Cool? Meso-American Flying Attack Pyramids? You better seek shelter. And Eldritch Queen of the UK? God Save You All....
Punk? The Strangness (the raison d'tre of the game) knows nothing of the Victorians Vedy British ideas of class, properness, or social scale. It touches everyone, everywhere. There will be rioting in the streets.
This should be on every gamer's bookshelf. Kudos all around to the creative staff.
