Really fun, evocative game. Rules light- 2 stats - Luck & Stamina, and then Skills. Flavors of Warhammer, Fighting Fantasy and "choose your path" adventure books. Different bits in the character creation process really spark the imagination with d6 lists of " What you have seen" and " Who is after you" along with others. Wizards Apprentice (Magic-user), Initiate (Cleric) and many other flavors of the "Thief" (Beggar, Footpad, others) and "Fighter"(Mercenary, Militiaman, more) types.
Open to hacking. I would add basic firearms and give more style to Wizard/Priestly magic and some other small twists. But this is a great game to add your own house rules to. Five stars from me.

The 5E race brought into B/X and labyrinth Lord. Very nice. Id like to see other races get this treatment or even a Humanoid booklet like Orcs of Thar.

Some very fun "hand" themed spells like from that upstart Wizard Bigby. I hope some other spellbooks like this are in the future, possibly from other famous Wizards- Melf, Otiluke, Tenser, Mordenkeinen.

A really handy reference for your B/X game (thats Basic & Expert). All the needed charts and information at a glance. You can pick and choose which panels and art you want to use. Just print out and put in your GM screen. Also handy just to keep as a reference or hand out to players. A great product.

Great game all around. A great combo of 5E and "Old school" . Very nice art in both black & white and color art editions- I know- I have both. Some really fun and interesting things in Low Fantasy Gaming.
THE ARTIFICER- The Artificer is a lot of fun with his weird, wacky deadly inventions- think the Warhammer Engineer kind of. Black powder weapons, breathing masks, corroding spray....more.
THE CULTIST- The Cultist is the LFG Cleric- he gets abilities based on the God he worships- as it should be. A priestess of the Argona the Starmaiden is different than Graxus the Iron God. Also gives icons/symbols of the diety, tenets, benefits, etc. Asking for your Diety's blessings (spells ) too often could cause you some uncomfortable effects with Divine Rebuke, like aging, pain, or a mark of shame until you atone.
MAGIC-USERS- Arcane magic also has a chance to go wrong or be miscast with The Dark and Dangerous Magic chart. Spells are renamed- Magic Missile is the Lash of Unerring Pain. Sleep is Insidious Slumber. Web is Strands of Ensnarement. It really gets your imagination going.
ROGUE(Thief)- gets to choose from some low down dirty tricks like hidden blade, choking dust, or unseen whip, as well as his usual backstab and sneaky skills.
The Barbarian, Bard, Fighter, Monk and Ranger are also there with some twists.
Thats just a small part of LFG. I highly recommend it.

Love it. Great super hero team. Nice art, write ups on all the team members, background, disadvantages, more. I just wish Twin Flame would combine all the cool Heroes & Villains into POD books. One for Villains, one for Heroes, then maybe another book or two for the teams. Come on.....please?

I did NOT get a free copy of this for review. :) It was worth paying for though. Id give it 4 stars. Good art,4 villain write-ups, three short scenarios. A good starter superhero adventure, though I converted it over to ICONS. This would be a great adventure to bring to a Converntion game or to introduce new players to a Superhero game system. I hope more like this are planned. Id gladly buy a print book of a bunch of scenarios like this put together. Superhero missions are hard to find. Thank you.

An absolute MUST have for Low Fantasy Gaming. More monsters, magic items, domains, and much much more. The artwork is great. Packed full of good stuff for any fantasy RPG, but made for the LFG system. If you dont have the Low Fantasy Gaming core book- go get it now! (and get this too)

I love this product. A bunch of pregen characters each with their own character sheet, illustration, backstory, equipment, everything. Need characters for a quick game? Right here. Need a rival adventuring party? Here you go. I just wish there were more. Each character is one page with everything you need- just print and play.

I love this game. It is really a great game, 48 pages. 4 classes Mage, Warrior, Thief, zealot- but each has 3 Archetypes you can choose at 3rd level. Barbarian, Fghter, Ranger, Assassin , Bard, Rogue, Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard. 4 races- Human, Halfling, Dwarf, Elf. No race abilities, but race does affect your stats(Str, Dex, etc) Some differences in rules such as Mages & thieves can use a shield. Only 5 spells per level. Miscast table is small and the same for Divine & Arcane magic. No sample character. Only a few sample monsters. Still a fantastic book and 5 stars from me. Id love to see a deluxe version- a bit longer. 5 torches is only 48 pages, B/X Moldvay is only 64 pages. The lay out of the book is a dream! Everything you need on one page- you can just flip to that page or print it out to give to aplayer and you are done!
Id love to see a Deluxe version of 5 Torches with some added things.
- a few more races ( Constructs, Dragonborn, Half-Orcs, Beastkin, Treekin, Half- Celestial/Infernal)
- more Archetypes (Archer or Dex based Fighter, Warrior-Mage)
- Different Miscast tables for Divine & Arcane magic
- More spells
- More monsters
- sample character & creation
That could easily fill another 15-20 pages.
This is still a great game as it is now and I highly recommend it.

Id give it a solid 4 Stars. A good medieval mystery. Not any kick in the door , kill, loot. But more roleplaying, asking questions, thinking, investigating. I gave 4 stars because I thought it could be better with a map of the town and a list of NPCs fleshed out for the GM. But still a very good product for a great system- Lion & Dragon /Dark Albion. Hopefully all these adventures are compiled into one book.
